Leeds. A mix of old and new, they all mix together beautifully. New mini sky scrapers and old Victorian shopping arcades mixed in with beautiful art Deco.

It all depends on what you mean when you use the word 'nicer'. Leeds has some interesting stuff from the 19th and 20th centuries alongside some fairly gruesome examples. Sheffield has some fairly interesting "brutalist " architecture. So does Nottingham, come to think of it. Manchester has some pretty good examples of both modernist and Modern work. Of particular note is the C.I.S. tower.

Nottingham is dangerous. Too much gun crime. Bath is the most splendid. Google Bath UK and go to their tourist website.

Hmmm....all a bit bland really! Would imagine Manchester though, or Cardiff. Edinburgh is the most beautiful city in Britain, in my opinion. Bath is also rather tasteful :)

Manchester by miles. However they are all 'also-rans' next to Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Dublin, Bath.

Havent been to Cardiff so dont know, Manchester is the best of the rest, but they all have a way to go to beat Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Nottingham as a nice square and town hall. The worst is Leeds.
