Where is the cheapest place to live in England?

Where is the best place to live in England?

  • Hi, I used to live in Leicester and will never go back there. Can anyone recommend on a good place to live in? (I live abroad at the moment) and not expensive either for rent etc. where I can get work as well. Thanks

  • Answer:

Newcastle is really nice, despite what most people say. It's fairly cheap too compared to other cities. Most of the area's north of the city centre like Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton, Forest Hall and Ouseburn are all great places to live. Northumberland (the county to the north of Newcastle) is nice if you're looking for a small town to live in, rather than a city. It has easy access to Newcastle too. Morpeth, Hexham and Ponteland are all lovely towns in the area.
