Where to camp with friends, In England/Wales?

We are all 17 and want to go camping somewhere, preferably somewhere on the coast in Wales. I would be driving us there. I am working at a music festival in Borth quite soon so I shall have a look around while I'm there, but does anyone have any suggestions of places where we can camp, where our age will not be a problem? Also are the laws on the drinking age the same there? Or are we going to have to blag it at the pubs.
