How to reach Heathrow terminal 3 to Abbey wood by train?

What train station is nearest Heathrow airport to reach Wales?

  • I went to the British Rail site, but it didn't recognize "Heathrow." I'm traveling to Swansea.

  • Answer:

There is a dedicated coach service berween Heathrow and Reading Station. All Great Western trains between London and South Wales stop at Reading. When you go into the National Rail website, it should give you choices for "Reading"; DO NOT accept "Reading West", as this is only served by local trains. If it offers you "Reading General", then that is OK

PADDINGTON is the train station on the west side of London, with trains travelling west to Reading --> Swindon --> Bristol --> Wales. I live near Swindon and have gone online in the past to get cheap train tickets into London for £7.50 (if I plan far enough ahead) Here's the website: www.thetrainline.com Good Luck!

Try Reading.

there are buses that leave Heathrow regularly for lots of destinations. They most likely have direct buses to both Paddington and Reading. Not sure though because I always fly to Gatwick. Get on the website for National Express.

I would say Paddington is the "main hub" of trains leaving for that direction. They most likely travel through Reading, so I guess which ever is easier to get to would be the way to go (you would probably need the tube to get from Heathrow to Paddington ,which looks to take about an hour with 2 to 3 changes of line..the link is there to help)
