Want to move to England?

I want to move to England for a year?

  • I live in Canada and am in grade 12. After high school I really want to move to England for at least a year, then I plan to come home and go to college or university. I would just like to go to college in England but I think living there and tuition would be to expensive. I know that i will need to get a visa but what else will I need to do? How hard will this process be? Ultimately I want to permanently move to England or Germany but for now I just want to move for a year. Just to take some time off and figure out what i want to study when i get home. P.S. I have family in England which im sure would help me out but I still would need to arrange where i would live, as they would not have room. I have also travelled to Europe 6 times and love the culture, which is why i want to move there

  • Answer:

Hi, i am from england, and getting a visa for here (america) or canada (where i have lived also) is pretty hard, so it is going to be hard to england for you unless you intend to study. I was studying both in canada and here in the sates so it was a bit easier for me, but i couldn't mention that i had any family here, because they are expecting you to leave after your visa ends, and if you have family, they think you will want to stay for good. if you go as a visitor to england, you are only allowed to stay up to 6 months. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/visiting/ ihope you get a chance to go :)
