How To Know Address From Landline Number For Free?

Need help finding UK landline number :-)?

  • I need my friend's, who may have done something stupid, landline number. I know the address, but their phone number isn't listed in the BT online phone book.. and I've attempted using 192.com but they're now asking me to buy credits - no thank you. Any free easy ways? Or, if someone has a 192.com account with credits who would be (kindly) willing to lend me a hand?:-) It's a serious matter and I've run out of ideas/resources. Thanks.

You can't trace people by telephone number in the UK, its against the data protection act.

They may be something called ex directory, where the number is not published. Like mine! If you are really that concerned, then you need to call the police and get them to send someone around to your friends' house. If you google your friend's area and *police station* you can find the local number for the police there and call them. This is what a friend of my partner's did when she thought my partner was going to do something serious.

What's the point?

"By something stupid I mean something along the lines of suicide/near suicide"...if that was the case then you would pay for credits or phone the police

Don't ask anyone too find their number, if it isn't in the phone book then they didn't want their number in there. (We don't, people phone the wrong number all the time and prank calls annoy me) Get too her address asap?

You think a friend may of harmed themselves but you won't buy a few credits to discover their location? What Scrooge like behaviour. Why not call the police with your concerns and give them the number?
