Best beaches on the Yorkshire coast?

  • Me and my girlfriend are going to the coast on Sunday when it's warm. I'm from near Newcastle so I don't know the Yorkshire coast too well, except Whitby which I know. So where are the best beaches, and are there any nice little beaches that are not touristy and pretty quiet? Thanks for any suggestions!

  • Answer:

scarborough. There is the main beach where all the normal sea side shops are or go around to the peasholme park side of scarborough there are beach huts a shop a cafe and a chip and burger hut a small crazy golf site and the beach. this side is better because there are changing room to change in a shower to get all the sand of you. if your going to stay all day get a day pass for the toilets because if i remember rightly its about 20p every time you go and you could pass the ticket between you both hope you have a really good day.

Robin Hood's Bay Forget the deckchairs and dodgems; this is Yorkshire’s coastline at its most raw and elemental. Expect brooding cliffs, tumbling cottages and miles of breathtaking scenery.
