What's a catering accommodation?

Where can I find extremely cheap UK self catering accommodation?

• I haven't got much to spend (around £100) but I'm looking for a self catering cottage/lodge/apartment for somewhere in the UK (don't really mind where but ideally somewhere where there is plenty to do) for week commencing 11th December 2010 (want 5/7 days). We'd be with our 19month old daughter and they must accept pets (1 dog) as well. Times are hard (much like for everyone else) but its my wife's30th and i know she's feeling down about not being able to do anything special. If anyone can point me in the direction of specific websites (I've looked at ebay and there's not much happening) or if they know of anyone with a property, any help would be much appreciated.

  Pick up a Daltons Weekly at your local newsagents....you will find loads of accommodation of all prices all over the country, of course, your main problem is the dog! Speaking from experience; we have two German Pointers....and a lot of places charge anything from £20-£50 per week for each dog!! The other place to search is the 'pet-friendly' accommodation websites where you might just be able to find something within your budget, though, I have to say, I think you will find it very hard to find something within your budget for a week. You don't say where you are in the U.K., but why not just have a special day out, look to see if you have a Christmas German Market in your area that you could visit, and then go out for a special meal afterwards.
