    Canterbury in Kent is beautiful with very friendly people and an abundant of historic places of interest. Bournemouth is suppose to be nice. Norwich is also one of the nicest places in the UK to live. Exeter also nice along with Salisbury. I find Kent & East Sussex to be the loveliest counties by a long way. I live in Kent. I'm not being bias in any way. Good-luck.

If i were you i'd definitely choose Manchester or London. Because both of them a big cities with ample job opportunities, night life and culture. But it really depends on what you're after. Newcastle is not a bad choice, either. But local people's thick Geordie accent might be a problem..it's gonna take you a lot of getting used to before you can understand what they are talking about. Alternatively, you might want to think about Leeds, in West yorkshire. It's pretty much in the centre (geographically speaking) of the entire country, which means it's relatively convenient for you to travel. It's a big city as well

South West is beautiful Devon, Cornwall, Somerset etc they also have low unemployment. Also East of England Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex are great places with lovely countryside and not that far from London.
