How much would it cost to go from California to England?

How much would it cost to go to England for 6 weeks?

  • I'm planning on going to England soon for about 6 weeks by myself. How much would it cost? And has anyone else gone to England by themselves before? :)

  • Answer:

Well, Im not sure how you will afford 6 weeks of holiday unless you have family to stay with. A one week holiday from America costs no less than £2500....Yes pounds. (flight=£600-700, hotel for 1 week = £900...Spending money etc) So 6 weeks....

It really depends on where you plan to go, what you plan to do............ if you are staying in London or actually getting away from there are seeing the real England........... if you are staying with family/friends, in hostel accommodation or budget hotels or plan on living life in luxury hotels........eating in restaurants or the more economic ( and often a lot better) pub meals Also do you mean England or Britain ( England, Wales and Scotland)?

Hotel accommodation: Between £50.00 - £70.00. Bed and breakfast: Between £40.00 - £65.00 a day. Travel expenses from one side of the country or the next city/town/village using public transports: Between £20.00 - £40.00 and more depending how far you planning to go. Food in restaurant: On average meal between £15.00 - £20.00 Fast food: From £6.00 Shopping at the local supermarkets can save you some money. Places of interest such as museum, castle etc'... £8.00 - £30.00 Don't be afraid to travel on your own, you be able to meet people on your way, just take care and don't be too gullible. Get a travel guide at tourist information, and look for great deals in visiting places of interest, and city breaks from tourist agency's. Most local newspapers advertise things to do, from music to theatre, cinema, pubs and clubs. If you plan ahead your holiday, you find that you can get some idea of how much things cost before you travel, and always stick to your plan, as it is easy to step out from the budget you planed to travel with. Avoid coming to the U.K between mid-July and the end of August, because it is the school holidays, and everything is more expensive. All this information is based on my experience of traveling around the U.K Plenty to see and do, enjoy your holiday.

Depends on how you get by, you need to do your own calculations. if you were to stay with family it would be seriously less expensive. if you have to pay for hotels and food then well minimum 7000 for 6 weeks. Two weeks is like 5000 so think about it and do some calculations
