How long does it take to get UK spouse Visa?

• I am an indian citizen and going to marry UK citizen in in feb 2012....He is forigner....i jus wanna knw how long does it takes to get a UK spouse visa IN INDIA and what all documents will b needed?? I tried looking for it on google but couldnt find anythng which can actually explain it.....when to apply for UK Spouse visa?? Should i apply it in a month or so ...or wait till i get married and then apply?? :S really confused. One more thing i wanna knw that from where can my fiance get a NO OBJECTION letter in UK?? and with in how many days/weeks he'll get it?? thank u so much!! :)

Make sure you make your search based on being from India, since the process is different depending on the country where you apply from (I applied from Mexico and took a month to get my visa for example, however, I have heard it can take much longer if you are in India). You need to prove it's a real marriage, you have known you husband for a while (backed up with loads of proof, photos, etc.). You also need to prove he can sponsor you, meaning he has enough money and proper accommodation or you won't get the visa (You need to show you won't be asking for benefits).
