Do people do summer share houses in the UK and where?

  • Do people do summer share houses in the UK and where? I moved here from the US where we are used to doing summer share houses with strangers in the Hamptons, Fire Island etc. - basically rooming and drinking with strangers for the weekends in the summer and catching some sun! Do people do that here? What web sites can I use? My boyfriend and I are looking for something close to (2 hours or less away from) central London.
