Help with UK passport?

UK Passport information..help!!?

• I am from Barbados in the Caribbean and I have a UK Passport. It expired August 20th, 2009. I am unsure of how to get a new one. I have been to the British High Commison's website but it is confusing to me. I am 17 years of age and will be 18 in July in case this information is needed in order for you to help me. I would therefore like to know the procedure to getting a new UK passport or do they renew them. Best Answer gets 10 Points!! Help Me Please!! ♥

  It's a pity you didn't renew your passport before August 2009, when the UK High Commission in Bridgetown stopped handling passport renewals, it would probably have been simpler for you! All renewals from your area are now handled by the UK Passport Service Centre for the Americas and Caribbean in Washington D.C. (http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/passports). An adult 10-year passport with 32 pages (the standard size) costs US$226 in the Caribbean, a 64-page passport is US$269. (ouch! - these are about twice the price that's charged in the UK - £77.50).
