I'll possible to go uk to work and study after 3 years?

Would this work for me to become a naturalised citizen of the UK?

  • This is just hypothetical. So, I graduate a university with a bachelor's degree at 22, then get a Youth Mobility Scheme Visa and stay in the UK for two years. In those two years I meet someone, who is a citizen of the UK, and get married. But after the two years are up I go back home and get a Post-Study Work Visa, then go back to the UK and stay there for another two years. When those two years are up, will I qualify to become a naturalised citizen, me having lived in the UK for four years and married to a UK citizen?

Yes it will work, but its the last bloody thing us English people need, we don't want forigners coming here because they want to, we will gladly accept you if you want to stay married with the lad. I bet you really want my British Citizenship and British Passport :D I always feel proud to be English when you have people so desperate to come and live in England.

No. Currently you have to be married for three years but you have to be living together continuously to get ILR and you need to have ILR and living in the UK for a further year before applying for citizenship. This plan has a lot of variables - do you come form a country that is part of the Youth Mobility Scheme? What makes you think you'll meet someone who wants to marry you? What makes you think you'll stay together? Silly premise on which to plan your future.
