Can two youngs make a living by part time jobs in Dundee (Scotland)?
-
We'd like to go to university with my boyfriend, in Dundee. We will try to get a part time job for each of us. Can we make a living and rent a flat for two of us with this money (and with the university student benefits)? I don't really know the amount of money needed for living there, nor the amount of money we could get by part-time jobs. Could you help? (Sorry if this isn't the right category, but I couldn't find a better one for the question.)

Answer:
You will earn about £6.00-£9.00 an hour part-time. Rent for a room in a shared house will be about £50-80 a week. £80 would include all bills. And you would split this so about £30 each. If you are students you will not pay Council Tax. Dundee is one of the less expensive places to live in the UK.
