Say NO to pay as you go road tax & tracking in the UK?

Yes i signed that last week.I doubt it will make any difference though

I have signed the petition particularly because I'm opposed to toll charges and tracking systems. At the same time however we do have a pay-as-you-drive system in existence at the moment......it's called fuel duty. The more you use the more tax you pay. I want to see an end to the annual road fund license and just have it all paid for through an increase of around 10p per litre in fuel duty.

We have today achieved 1 million signatures. This is proving an embarrassment for the government. Hopefully we can get them to reconsider.

Too bloody right the gits!!! we pay enough tax to the government the thieving.................

Im with you on this one-even though I dont drive, this seems very unfair and another step in the direction of Orwell's '1984'. Its the duty of responsible citizens to resist irresponsible laws. give em an inch and theyl take a mile.

The government needs your money!! We are now only the 5th richest industrial nation! You all earn massive salaries, Pay minor taxes, Im sure you won't miss a little more from your pockets? Only last week after paying all my taxes etc i had 40 pence left in my pocket, so we bought a conservatory!

If the British government get rid of Road tax for pay & go road tax then I'm all for it, it will free up the UK roads. Unfortunately the Government are too greedy & will want both. We'll see
