Best place to live in the UK?
-
I'm from the US and have always thought that the UK is a beautiful place. I'm thinking about living there. I was wondering what is the best place as a young adult to live there.

Answer:
I'm from the north west of England (lancashire to be specific) It is lovely. I've lived there for over 20 years, I've gone to university and travelled due to work but I always returned back to my home town. Lovely scenery, Nice parks, plenty of hills and fields, nice cafes, takeaways and People are friendly too. I see myself retiring here. Lovely place.... Definitely recommend it. I personally do not like the bigger cities and it gets worse as you head down south. From past experience I would advise that you avoid living in London, Birmingham, Coventry, Bradford, Blackburn and preston.

It depends what you want... beaches, countryside, English charm, Welsh charm, Scottish charm, clublife, a cheap place to live...etc.

Depends what you're after... London is great and there's loads to do but its also expensive... I live in the north west which is great and we've got some great and really different cities - Manchester, Liverpool, blackpool, Preston, but also lots of countryside :)
tonks;)
As a young adult I would reccommend the major University cities. Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Cardiff, Edinburgh. Maybe Bristol (although I've never been there). Cities in the north of the UK tend to be friendlier, and cheaper.

Before I say anything, do you have a British Citizenship or a grandfather with a British Citizenship. If not, you can't come live here :( But you can also come by boat, they seem to be letting people in legally that way LOL Anyway, I think Cambridge.
