Can you live in London without a Car?

I live in manchester and need to get to the american embassy in London and going in my car?

  • what i want to do is travel down in the early hours in the morning to London .park up at a tube station on the outskirts then get the tube in to the american embassy .what i am asking is which tube station should i go to or is there a better way of getting there . my appointment at the embassy is 8 am . thanks x

    train it..... according to the trainline.com there is a train leaving Piccadilly around 05:00 that gets you into Euston around 07:30 which should be sufficient time.

I really would go by train. Tickets booked in advance for specific trains will likely cost less than the petrol and it will be far quicker; many trains complete the journey from Manchester to London Euston in 2 hours 8 minutes. www.virgintrains.co.uk

Hi Mancunian. Drive down M1 to M25 towards Heathrow. Get on the M4 East and leave at Hounslow exit. Park in Hounslow West Station Car Park. Central Line to Oxford Circus. Walk from there to Grosvenor Square where you will find the US Embassy.

when i went to the usa embasy in london, i drove down to london, stayed in golders green, took a tube to the embassy (sorry, cant remember what station i got off at) and it was a walk around a corner to the embassy!
