Where in Manchester (UK) city centre is a good night on a Saturday that aint gonna cost a fortune?

Want a good night out with the lads, starting off near the MEN arena side, any suggestions of good places to go, clubs, pubs etc for a good night out (places that dont charge like > £4 a pint!)? Thanks

what about going to some weatherspoon pubs first as these are quite cheap also the pubs along the student areas. you wont find a club with less than £4 a pint anywhere on a saturday unless the beer is pants
