Where is a good Saturday night in Nottingham?

Where is good to go on a saturday night in Manchester?

  • me and some friends are going to Manchester on a night out at the end of January, and having never been there before we are unsure of where to go. We would probably be looking for clubs that pretty much play chart music, maybe some indie too, but mainly places that are cheap and offer a good atmosphere! Also any idea how expensive it would be given that it will be a Saturday night? Thanks!

    A convenient "one stop shop" for a mainstream night out would be the Printworks http://www.theprintworks.com/ The only downside to the Printworks is that I sometime think it can be a little chavvy Other popular areas of the city for a night out are; Deansgate The (gay) Village Deansgate Locks

As well as the other places suggested, Oxford Road can be good fun if you don't mind rubbing shoulders with studenty types

In addition to above suggestions there's The Northern Quarter, with many groovy little independant bars and an all round 'cooler' vibe ;) Expense wise; it depends where you go and where your'e from.. but being a popular city it aint exactly cheap..unless you stick to the more 'chav' or studenty places.

not sure on exact location but Walkabout Bar is really good.no bother what so ever and atmosphere was great too.i remember it being about a ten minute walk from printworks.google maps should help
