No it isn't true... You are being scammed. Yahoo, AOL and Microsoft do not now, nor have they ever, done any Awards or Lotteries.... If you ever get emails or letters telling you that you have won something that you personally have not entered, then you haven't won, or been awarded anything. I get many such emails every week and I also get lots of emails from people wanting me to help them release money from a dead persons bank account, in fact I received four of those yesterday, and have received two so far today. These bank accounts do not exist. They are all scams and fraud where people are trying to get YOU to part with YOUR money, YOUR bank account details, and all YOUR identity details so that they can steal YOUR identity. If you get anymore such emails, the best thing to do is to just delete them...never reply to them because the people who sent it then know that they have hit a "live" email address and you will forever be receiving these type of emails.

Of course it's true. Send me £1,000 & I'll pick it up for you. Just give me your bank details & PIN number & I can pay it into your account. Also send me your address & let me know when you are on holiday.

Just think for a second.... do you believe that a multi million dollar corporation like Yahoo would have its "anything" centre on Stockport Road in Longsight???????????? See how easy that was!

Not 124 Stockport Road, Longsight again!! That address keeps appearing in these sort of scams. Understand plainly: If you have not personally entered a competition then any claimed prize will be fraudulent. They are attempting to get YOUR bank details so they can get hold of YOUR money or steal YOUR identity. HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE KINDS OF EMAILS. The old saying applies absolutely: "If an offer appears to be too good to be true, it is."
