    There are lots of great universities in London. It really depends on what you want to study (Science, Economics, the arts etc.) The London School of Economics, Imperial, University College London are all highly regarded. The University of London is an 'umbrella' title for loads of great colleges; King's, Goldsmith's etc. Each of them is better known for different subjects. Goldsmith's is very arty, LSE is famous for politics. If you want the high life of a city then I would recommend Manchester over London, there are multiple Universities there. Really you should consider the area you would like to study so that you can go to an institution that specialises or has a good reputaion in this area.

well the best universities are oxford and cambridge, there are good unis throught out the country. i.e warwick university, leeds, york it depends what you want to study

In London the best ones are- London School of Economics Kings College London Imperial College University College London From what I remember I think they're quite technical/science based universities though so depends on what ur subject is. There are plenty of universities outside of London.
