Answer:
There's no direct trains from Stansted to Brighton (they're on opposite sides of London). You can buy a ticket to Brighton, however, I'd take the Coach to Gatwick and then catch the train from Gatwick. If you have luggage then taking it on the Underground will be extremely difficult as quite a lot of the underground is just stairs with no escalator or lifts option whereas at Stansted and Gatwick luggage is expected. There's no stairs at Brighton Station either. Please note that on the 27th March there are no First Capital Connect services to Brighton from St Pancras as these currently only run on Weekdays, the cross-London service does not run at weekends at the moment,.

Coach travel is slow and uncomfortable. Take the Stansted Express train from Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street; they operate every 15 minutes and the journey takes 45 minutes. From Liverpool Street to London Bridge Station take the Underground (Subway) Central Line (Orange) to Bank then Northern Line (Black) to London Bridge Station From London Bridge Station there are 4 trains per hour to Brighton (2 on Sundays) and the journey takes 1 hour. You can buy a through ticket from Stansted Airport to Brighton, the price of which includes the Underground section in central London. Be sure to take yot ticket out of the barriers you pass through and retain it for the whole of your journey www.nationalrail.co.uk www.railcard.co.uk

There's no direct train. The train from Stansted to London ends at Liverpool Street. You'd need to take a tube from there to St Pancras, and get the First Capital Connect from there. Both services run very frequently, but the whole thing would probably take upwards of two hours.

Look on the British Rail website. I would suggest the most likely route would be to get the express airport bus from Stansted airport to Gatwick airport, then get the train to Brighton in about 25 minutes from there.
