London Underground- Liverpool St. Station to Victoria Coach Station?
-
I'm sorry, I am a complete novice on the London Underground... Is there a tube station for Victoria Coach Station? Does anybody know how I would get there from Liverpool St. Station and how long this would take? Many thanks in advance!

Answer:
Victoria Coach Station is close to the Victoria Tube Station, so you can catch the Underground to Victoria. You can take the Circle Line (westbound) from Liverpool Street to Victoria. Or you can take the Central Line to Oxford Circus and change to the Victoria Line and take the Victoria Line to Victoria.

Either get a number 11 bus from Liverpool Street Station direct to Victoria Coach Station, or the Underground (Central Line westbound to Oxford Circus; then Victoria Line southbound) to Victoria. Come our of the Underground at Victoria and walk past the main entrance to Victoria Station and Pret a Manger. At the traffic lights turn left into Buckingham Palace Road. The Coach Station is 300 yards down Buckingham Palace Road By bus allow about 35 minutes (45 minutes during the rush hour) By Underground 25 minutes + 5 minutes walk

The nearest Tube Station to Victoria Coach Station is Victoria - a short walk along Buckingham Palace Road to the bus station - see map. http://maps.google.com/maps?um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=victoria+tube+station+london&fb=1&hq=victoria+tube+station+london&hnear=victoria+tube+station+london&cid=0,0,12638801258621620633&ei=_9RGTZGXK4Wz4gbWsqBb&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CB8QnwIwAA The bad news is that there is a lot of 'works' going on at Victoria Tube Station and this is making life very difficult if you go there for the next few months. I recommend you use the alternative Tube Station at Sloan Square - see map http://maps.google.com/maps?um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=victoria+tube+station+london&fb=1&hq=victoria+tube+station+london&hnear=victoria+tube+station+london&cid=0,0,12638801258621620633&ei=_9RGTZGXK4Wz4gbWsqBb&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CB8QnwIwAA Come out of the tube station - turn left and then left into Chester Row - check map for rest of walk. Sloan Square is on the District and Circle Lines - see Tube Map http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/travel/downloads/tube_map.html You can use Sloan Square and take a Circle Line train to Liverpool Street (no changes). Check this next link for journey details. http://www.tubeplanner.com/search/result?from=Sloane+Square&to=Liverpool+Street&go=Go Journey time from Sloan Square to Liverpool Street about 21 mins average.

From Liverpool Street tube station take circle line to victoria station and then you have to walk: go up into the main train station, take the escalator to the shopping centre, walk through the shopping centre, when you get out carry on walking straight on at the second traffic light you will see the coach station on the other side of the road.

Take any Westbound train to Kings Cross St Pancras, then change to the Victoria Line Southbound to Victoria Station - then follow the signs to the coach station. It's about 10 minutes of riding on the Underground - allow another 5 for waiting for trains and another 10 for the walk at Victoria.
