    Don't think there's a specific time for the start of the Summer Sales here in London. Looks like different shops and stores have a Summer Sale when things start to flag a bit, which is usually the case as we approach the summer holiday season and are hanging on to as much cash as possible for the trip abroad. Looks like Selfridges started their Summer sale right across their UK branches on about 18th June 09 - get on down and grab a bargain. http://www.selfridges.com/index.cfm?page=1316

Seems like it started. Ok, to be technical, we are in summer time that's why we forward our clocks by one hour. It starts on the last Sunday of March and end on the last Sunday in October. If you define summer time as the time when we see the sun and feel the heat it is usually during the months of June to August.
