Can anyone recommend a hotel in London?

Can anyone recommend a hotel (not too expensive) that is in London...near the "touristy" stuff?

  • Someone said to find a place with a W1 or W2 in the address...but I don't know what that means? Is there a particular street in London that I should look for a hotel on?

  • Answer:

I agree with answers suggesting the hotels near the London Eye, which means within about a ten block radius. You can do a web search for hotels in London W1, for example. Money spent on accomodations is really well spent, so don't go for the lowest price.

Baden Powell hostel is near the Natural History Museum but for the best location, the travel lodge in London (look it up there are many travel lodge hotels in London), is situated near the London Eye, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Westminster and The Tower of London! And they are cheap with good rooms!

I would consider staying in a hostel if I were you--you'll be surrounded by people your own age and it will be WAY cheaper! Google search european hostels, you'll see what I mean.
