How much is the off peak rail ticket to London?

Is the 1 day peak tube ticket in London valid in off-peak hours too?

I'm planning a trip to London Thursday-Sunday and don't really know which ticket option to choose. I thought about 1day tickets (seem to be cheaper than the 3 day ticket) but I'm quite confused with all the options I get!

the one day peak is valid ALL day at any time the one day off peak is valid all day EXCEPT peak times. If you're stuck in peak times, grab a beer or a coffee and they soon pass.
