Hi - take a look at the Enjoy England website, for a wide range of budget places to stay around London. Prices start from £70 a night per room: http://search.enjoyengland.com/en-GB/SearchResults/Default.aspx?ContentID&IndustryType=1&Location=Oxford+Street%2c+England&Latitude=51.51475&Longitude=-0.146084&Radius=1&Adults=2&IsSearchFormAccommodation=True&IndustrySubType=1&Rating&PropertySubType=1&Award&Sbly&WelSch&Facility,%5Bobject%5D&sort=2&Page=2 Try The Strand Palace Hotel which costs under £100 per night for a double room and is located in the heart of Covent Garden. The excellent value Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth Hotel is also a good place to stay as it's close to Theatreland, Oxford Street and the city's main landmarks: http://search.enjoyengland.com/en-GB/Details.aspx?ContentID=88083&IndustryType=1&Location=London%2c+Greater+London&Latitude=51.5084152&Longitude=-0.125533&Radius=2&Adults=2&IsSearchFormAccommodation=True&IndustrySubType=1 http://search.enjoyengland.com/en-GB/Details.aspx?ContentID=33883&IndustryType=1&Location=London%2c+Greater+London&Latitude=51.5084152&Longitude=-0.125533&Radius=2&Adults=2&IsSearchFormAccommodation=True&IndustrySubType=1 If you want to save even more, then head to Bloomsbury / Russell Square areas, where you can find plenty of affordable guest houses: http://search.enjoyengland.com/en-GB/SearchResults/Default.aspx?ContentID&IndustryType=1&Location=Bloomsbury%2c+England&Latitude=51.52228&Longitude=-0.122523&Radius=1&Adults=2&PropertySubType=2&IsSearchFormAccommodation=True&IndustrySubType=1&sort=2 Have a great time in London!

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

As you are no doubt finding, hotels in London are terribly expensive! You might try the Melia in Regents Park, but I understand even it is very expensive these days. To meet your price target you will probably have to find a hotel not close at all to where you want to visit, and then take the tube or taxicabs.

Have you tried googling "Budget Hotels - London"? Avoid the Earls Court if you want something of a reasonable standard (!) unless you have a good sense of humour. Loads of hotels because of the Exhibition Centre, but the cheaper hotels are dire.
