Is it hard to buy an apartment in London?

I want to move to london should i just buy a one way ticket then look for an apartment when i get there?

    Moving to the UK from a non EU country is incredibly difficult. Try getting a work visa. They are very hard to get. Very. I've been trying for 5 years now, still hard pressed to live there someday, but for now I'm stuck in the States dreaming. If you're interested in going to school there i would recommend looking at Universities and their programmes. Theres so many different colleges there and thats the one for sure way to live there legally for an extended amount of time. If you figure something out let me know. Cause I've gone down all the routes, and all dead ends! Goodluck. !!

First, make sure you have a Visa. The UK is incredibly strict on giving them out, and if you don't already have one, you probably won't get one. If you do have a Visa I would recommend looking for an apartment before you go, but if you don't find one, you can stay in a hostel for a few days and hopefully find a house share or other situation. Please looking in the immigration laws before packing your bags. You can't work while on a visitors visa. Work permits are not given easily.. and unemployment is at a record high. Immigration is strict.. make sure you can provide all the necessay papers, and have the economic foundation and proof.

If you are not a citizen of the EEA (European Economic Area) you cannot just pack your bags, upsticks and move here. You will need a work permit before you can even think of getting a job here.
