Any british airline besides british airways?
-
im traveling to USA this year, i live in spain but making the trip from UK is a LOT cheaper than making it from here. I´ve search in british airways and they have very good prices, but i would like to check and compare with other airlines that would travel from UK to NY. The thing is i have no idea of any other british airline that would make this trip rather than british airways. can you guys help me out and give me advices?? from spain-london and viceverse i will travel on a low cost, (ryanair, easyjet,etc...) the thing is all of them go to gatwick. and there are more traveling schedule options from heathrow... but i have no idea if is it too dificult to get from gatwick to heathrow (i´ve never been in england). so i would also appreciate some airline that would make this trip from gatwick too... any suggestions will be welcome... thanks!

here you go bruce, i travel a lot all over the world and i am gonna well look after you here! (dont forget the ten points!! LOL) i will give you some links and some advice!!! first of all the advice; pay for your flights with your bank card and let them pay for the flights in sterling (you will be charged in euros) at the current time and circumstances you will receive an approx 30 % discount because the pound has gone to sh!t (as oppose to 3 months ago). british airways are having a mammoth sale at the moment and if you book before 27th jan 2009 you will not get a cheaper flight. heres a link to expedia, just type in your flight details and it will give you every comparison fare to NYC (all flights that leave from london will be marked as direct). click the link; http://www.expedia.co.uk/default.aspx?semcid=expe.UK.001.001.03.01&kword=0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.expedia the next link is for travel supermarket; http://www.travelsupermarket.com/Default.aspx?ef_id=1816:3:s_cdbccba530af502799d6e510f37e28ea_2858269472:nC9XOUo-JyoAAE@5eEIAAAAE:20090102152942 good luck and happy travelling!

It's not just British airlines that fly the route - London to NYC is one of the world's busiest and most competitive routes. Especially from Heathrow, although there are transatlantic flights from Gatwick as well. In order to travel between the airports, there is a shuttle bus service operated by National Express. Allow yourself at least 3 hours between flights. Just go to a travel booking website like Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak etc to search all the airlines at once.

Virgin Atlantic - but pricey. Otherwise look at american airlines (American, Continental, United, ...) You can also consider Air France from Paris.

There are plenty... don't just limit yourself to searching one airline. I would recommend checking out the website BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel ticket sites, and save money. Good luck!
