For example most boarding school are in old estates, due to the size and the fact they have grounds for the facilities, for example playing fields, and so that the children can go outside, but still be on school grounds. In the UK, well in England and Wales at least, everyone in Secondary school has to wear uniform. Public schools, ie fee paying schools are no different.
