Are there an good, but inexpensive boarding schools in or near London? Thank you! *please don't say "you can't put 'inexpensive/cheap' and London together' or 'no such thing', just tell me if there's any good but inexpensive boarding schools in or near London (for the hundredth time). I didn't say 'cheap', by the way.*

Answer:
I'm going to have to ask what YOU consider inexpensive? Most people in the UK are struggling to make ends meets right now. If you can afford £7,000 to £8,00 a TERM for one child, and believe this to be inexpensive then well done to you. (i.e. a minimum of £21000 a year). Then there is the cost of clothes, equipment, and the special events your child will be involved with- riding, tennis, sailing, etc. http://www.ukboardingschools.com/advice/why-board/fees-and-funding http://www.isc.co.uk/ParentZone_SchoolFeeAssistanceCosts.htm At the top end people are pay more than £25K per term. Please realise that for many reading this page, these sums ( for just one child) are far beyond their means. Search for Independent schools, or look at the Education supplements in the big Sunday newspapers. There are any number out there, but you really need word of mouth to know the good ones, and have put your child into the right Prep school before they were 5! Good luck.

it's all well making that clear, lol, but you don't specify whether you're looking for an all girls/boys, or mixed (not very common) school? And what price range you're looking for, per term? Ok, have a look at: http://www.aldenham.com/ http://www.raa-school.co.uk/ http://www.ashfordschool.co.uk/ http://www.farringtons.org.uk/index.php?id=1 I can't really seem to find any co-ed's in London which aren't of a specific age, but try looking yourself, and you can alter all the search details to what you're looking for: www.boarding-schoolsuk.com/ www.boardingschools.co.uk/ www.schoolmatcher.co.uk/ www.boarding-school-finder.com/ www.best-schools.co.uk/guides/boarding-… www.guardian.co.uk/education/school-tab…

Maybe if you wrote a better question you might receive answers you are looking for. As the above posters pointed out, what do you mean by "inexpensive."
