How get from clapham south to kings cross station?

How do you get to the London ExCeL from kings cross station?

  • This is for my friend, she lives in Exeter but she is getting the train to kings cross and wanted to know how to get to the excel from there. Thanks!

  • Answer:

Trains from Exeter arrive at Paddington or Waterloo Stations and NOT at Kings Cross. From Paddington take the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street, then cross platform change to the Jubilee Line to Canningon Town, where you change for the Docklands Light Railway for Custom House From Waterloo Station catch the Jubilee Line to Canning Town; then the Docklands Light Railway to Custom House www.tfl.gov.uk www.nationalrail.co.uk

This weekend? There are quite a lot of engineering works this weekend so its a nightmare in east london. You need to get on the DLR to get to Custom House station. The easiest way this weekend is to get on the hammersmith and city line to moorgate, at moorgate get on the northern line and go to bank. At bank you can get on the DLR, but you will need to change trains at shadwell for a train that says Beckton on it. The train at bank will say Lewisham. Any way at bank on get on the DLR go one stop to shadwell, get off the train, stay at that platform and wait for a train that says Beckton on it. If your travelling during the week it should be a lot easier, the entire hammersmith and city line should be working so you can stay on til West Ham, at West Ham you can get on the jubilee line for one stop to Canning Town and then get on the DLR, Beckton train to Custom House. Check out www.tfl.gov.uk for tube map and line closures.
