What is the best airline to fly from the USA to London?

I want to know which Transit visa I will be needing or I am exempted for that since my origin is USA?

  • I will be transiting through London to change airline to go to India from USA. I have a valid Indian passport and a valid USA visa, and will only be changing airline, not airport in London, and that too in just 6 hours, not overnight. As per britainUSA.com website, I need a visitor in transit visa, if I change airline and pass through immigration. But as per UK consulate website, I need a DATV visa , but I get exemtion for that since my origin in USA , with valid US visa and valid onward flight... and as per UK consulate in mumbai, I need visitor in transit visa without any arguments.. and as per british high commission , I should ask this question to my airlines.. and as per my airlines I should as this question to UK consulate. Now my question is Q1) Do I need a DATV to VITV visa , or I am expemted for that ?? Q2) Do I pass through UK immigration, for changing airline at heathrow airport , which I think is just a change of terminal ??

If I am understanding this(forgive me if I'm not) - you shouldn't need a visa to go through the UK at ALL. Your allowed to visit the UK up to 6 months without needing a visa - which includes passing through. Did that help? P.S. Even though I was born there that is not an exception for me, you still shouldn't need one.
