Can anyone recommend a nice area to live in SW/S/SE London, close to a park and a tube/train station?

I will be working in Battersea for the first 6 mths then Chiswick there after. I need to be close to a park so that I can walk my dog in the morning before work. I will be driving to work so dont want to be driving long distance. Ideally 30- 45 min drive. I will be sharing with another person who needs to be able to take the tube to Liverpool street or Shoreditch. So I need somewhere that will suit both our needs and its proving difficult for me as Im not sure what the traffic is like or the areas. Thanks

Answer:
I la la love Parsons Green. There is a lovely park in the centre. It is just a beautiful place. I'm from Boston and while living in London I would go to Parsons Green because it was so quaint and lovely. There's a little Italian restaurant called De Cecco - I think - at New King's Road. Right near the Green. There are lovely shops, and the tube station is very close and convenient. I love it there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsons_Green

can recommend Clapham Common in South London. I've lived in a few suburbs around London and have found Clapham Common to be the best. Here's why: - Loads of young people in the age group of 22-26 - Massive park (Clapham Common) where music festivals, sports and other activities take place - Bars, restaurants and clubs in walking distance - Great links to the City and West End with the Northern Line Tube It's truly a great place to live. I hope you have a chance to check it out. All the best

Balham and Clapham South (on Northern Line), close to Wandsworth and Clapham Commons or Tooting Bec, near Tooting Bec Common and Wandsworth Common? Great areas!
