I'm 51, don't drive, don't have a load of cash, live in London where today it is sunny and I'm going out to take photos with my hubby, then have a pint in a riverside pub.

You could drive round the roundabout at the elephant and castle see if you can see any elephants

Brighton. I always pick Brighton. Shopping, restaurants, the beach, lovely little shops on the beach, the boardwalk. Love it.

Have you tried driving right around the M25? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTctR6rCePQ If that don't get you, how about this Roman road near Canterbury? By the way, we've got more Roman Roads than Motorways - it's a history thing. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&pq=canterbury&xhr=t&q=Stone+St,+Canterbury,+Kent+CT4,+United+Kingdom&cp=18&gl=uk&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1600&bih=791&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x47dec614d86de1db:0xc681cbb9f3424cf7,Stone+St,+Canterbury,+Kent+CT4&gl=uk&ei=ZyLrTeSPC5OahQfLtaC6Bg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CB0Q8gEwAA Why an old Roman Road and a B road at that? Because most of it is dead straight and guess what? No SPEED CAMS - you'll be able to roar up and down this road with impunity. Driver since 1960 - Some of my cars from the past. E-Type Jag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-bqB4zC6UY&feature=related Triumph Vitesse V8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOHYqGQdZ4U Now with this beast. . .do not under estimate the Mondeo V6 - bucket seats etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFdWT5KtPc0&feature=related If you cannot get to the Roman Road above, find one near you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_roads_in_Britain Most of our Roman roads are narrow but straight and usually of the B Class and this means no CCTV but check it all out first - you can usually do this via Google Maps STREET VIEW. Go as far as you can without getting caught up in a traffic jam which isn't an easy thing to do. There seem to be a lot of roadworks just about everywhere at the moment.

Hayling Islamd!!! Yuck. If you're going to Kew Gardens or Brighton go by train because you won't be able to easily park in them or near them
