What to wear in London in early summer?!?

I'm going on vacation to London in a week and I know it's going to be in the 60s and kinda rainy I think. But the weather is phickled so who knows. What do you advise i wear?! I want to be comfortable yet not stick out like a tourist?! What kinda shoes are good for rain besides rain boots?! I always just wear flip flops. What is in fashion right now with younger women in London??

Dress in layers. The weather may be chilly or the it could be really hot. The forecast is usually inconsistent. Be prepared for various temperatures. Always carry a small umbrella in your bag. I usually wear ballet flats. They may get a little wet in the rain. Rain boots may not be necessary, they are heavy and may be too hot and clunky. I find that my feet get too dirty when wearing flip flops in the city and they get slippery in the rain.

flip flops are for beaches and look stupid in cities. Trainers or similar, layers. The weather could be warm or cold, wet or dry. It hasn't rained in ages but that doesn't mean it won't. as long as you avoid checked shorts and a baseball cap you'll look a bit less like an American tourist - until you speak of course.
