Be careful. Don't sign up with any agency that asks for money upfront. If you are really talented they will find you the jobs and then take a percentage of your fees. If you can afford it or are good enough to get a scholarship the best entry to the profession is via an approved course at one of the well known acting schools like the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art or Italia Conti. A few well known actors have worked their way up from doing extra work and or participating in high quality amateur productions, but apart from the lucky few, this is a profession littered with failure and broken dreams. You have to be good and really want it and even that may not be enough
