What is a good town to move to around Paris, France?

Could i move to London, England and go to college in Paris, France?

  • OKKK...SO IM AM AMERICAN AND WHEN I GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL I WANT TO MOVE TO LONDON, AND I WAS WONDERING, WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE FOR A PERSON TO LIVE IN LONDON, BUT GO TO COLLEGE IN PARIS...AND YES, I DO LIVE IN THE U.S.

  • Answer:

The journey time would be about 4 hours, from the centre of London to the centre of Paris, and cost roughly around $300. So you wouldn't want to do it every day! But maybe it would be OK if you stayed in France during the week and just got back to London once a week, or once a month. Also, check that the French college a) accepts students from London, and b) doesn't charge them lots of extra fees. In the UK, British universities charge non-British students a lot extra, but I'm not sure whether this is the same in France.

Other answers

it won't be very practical, you would have to live in Paris most of the Time because the length of the commute would be too long, so you would be renting two apartments, one in London which is extremely expensive, plus train fare from london to Paris which is a couple of hundred a go, plus increased tutition fee's for non EU students, i mean your looking at $16'000 - $18'000 a year for fee's because you are an overeas student. i'd just stick to the one country. then you would have problem with Visa's to live here, and work here, because you won't have a UK student visa. And the Rules get very strict on letting non EU citizens come to work and live in the UK
