What are good tips for cheap traveling in london?

First time in London traveling from Heathrow airport tips?

  • I am going to London for the first time and i'm trying to get to Covent Garden Would be taking the Piccadilly line be the best way to go? And i saw online it suggested taking a bus to the station rather then walking underground? Which one is easier? Any tips Thank you :)

    It is a long walk underground to the tube station from the airport, well it feels long when you are dragging bags, probably a good 10+min walk, but I would take the tube if you can. I took the bus (as adivsed by staff at the station rather than what I had planned which was not the best thing to do and I had to get by bags up the steps of the bus etc. I will say many tube stations do not have escalators or lifts and you have to lug the bloody things up steps, but if you don't have to change too many times it will not really be too much of a problem (I have forgotten the lines now)

what bus to which station? At Heathrow, just follow the signs for the underground. Then just sit there for 90 minutes until you get to Covent Garden, go up in the lift and there you are. Easy.

The quickest, cheapest and easiest way is to take the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to Covent Garden.

There is one obvious and easy and direct way to Covent Garden and that is the Piccadilly line straight there.

Taking the Underground will be the easiest, once you pass customs and claim your baggage there will be signs to the underground. The walk to the station will depend on what terminal your at terminals 1,2 and 3 share one station while 4 and 5 their own and its right in the basement. Take the underground its nice comforable and requires no changeing so take a nap or read and you will be there before you know it
