Quickest and cheapest way to get to excel in london from southampton?

  • on saturday 24th may i want to go to the London movie comic media expo at excel in london (this address: ExCeL, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL.) the time is from 11am to 5pm and i want to stay there for most of the time available. what is the quickest and cheapest way to get there from southampton avoiding congestion charges and a lot of traffic. what time would i have to depart southampton to get there and how much would it cost. and how much would it cost to depart from london on the same day and get back to southampton?

By Road. Take the M3 motorway towards London. At the M25 junction turn right taking the M25 anticlockwise. Continue to the Dartford tunnel. Cross the river Thames and take the first left exit onto the A13. Continue towards the centre of London. Follow the signs for London City Airport. The Excel is at the exit after the airport. If you want to avoid the £1 toll at the Dartford tunnel then leave the M25 at junction 3 and use the Blackwall tunnel. when you exit the tunnel turn right towards the City Airport.
