Would it be better to live in New York or London?

Where would it be better to live, London or New York?

  • I have friends and family in both New York and London and I am planning to move to one or the other. I'd like to know your opinions on what city is the best to live in in general(:

    I would prefer London, however your nationality and ancestry would choose which one to live in because if you are not entitled to a work permit, or the ancestry visa for the UK, you cannot just up sticks and move to either of those places whether you have friends and family there or not. Good luck with whichever you choose...

@ Justin Zerbe- At least London has way better air quality as a result of their surrounding "open farmland" and a wealth of large open green spaces UNLIKE New York. If you travel over 200 miles outside of NYC you will never see proper countryside. Only massive polluting mansions where the rich people trip over the poor. NYC is a massive smog ridden concrete jungle. No wonder so many New Yorkers suffer from asthma. London is MUCH BETTER for its history, cute architecture, cleanliness, LOWER crime rate, HIGH quality food, civilised people, welfare, shopping andmany more. New York is just ugly, modern and overrated to the extreme.

London is great for people in their twenties. There's plenty to do and good jobs :) x

New York is very good at self promotion . London is effortlessly cool. They are both exciting cities. London has caught up on that. New York can try to catch up in terms of history but obviously never will.

Difficult question as they are the two best cities in the world. I would say London currently has the edge.

New York - you got the beach, hot dogs, friendly people, hot summer days, malls, the dream. London - no beaches, *** holes in track suits, everyday is grey out, and it's nothing but farmland for miles on end.
