Answer:
First thing is to get the street names right or you could get really lost! I discovered that the Landward Apartments are on Harrowby Street off Edgware Road. This is in a central and intersting location - Edgware Road is a busy shopping street. There is a link to a map at the bottom of the following page: http://www.angloamerican.uk.com/landward.htm The college website has details of the sites at the following, again with links to maps: http://www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/location.htm The easiest way to get around London by public transport is to use the Journey Planner on the Transport for London (TfL) site. www.tfl.gov.uk You can enter a station, street, place of interest or postcode. It will give you a route and a map you can print out. So for the two college sites you mention, the Journey Planner suggests: Harrowby St to John Princes St: Short walk to the bus stop on Edware Road (George St stop); Route 6 towards Aldwych or Route 15 towards Blackwall; Get off at Old Cavendish St. 5 min walk to college. Total journey time 25-30mins Harrowby St to Lime Grove: By tube: 9 min walk to Edgware Road (Circle Line) station Underground (Hammersmith and City Line) to Shepherds Bush station 6 min walk to college Total journey time 25 mins By bus is a 40 min journey from Bayswater Road by 94 bus. The advantage of the bus is that it is far cheaper. A one week bus pass will cost £13 and give you unlimited travel on buses any time anywhere in London. This can be supplemented by an Oyster electronic smart card for occasional tube journeys. (Which you can get from any tube station and many shops and you just top up as you go). Hope this helps.

Well I know that the best way of tranportaiton when I went to college there was subway. Howeever its very unsafe because of bombibngs etc..... Make sure that when you go there first you take time to tour the city because then you will know the streets well and take a map. Its not that hard but I think subway is the best and next is bus. Have fun on your trip.
