Where are nice cheap places to rent in London?

Places in London suburb safe and very cheap rent, any advise?

  • Hi, I am moving to London in september and I have figured out that flats rent are too expensive (moorgate, oldstreet, etc)! I am looking for something in a small town but very close-by and also well connected (train, etc) with London (liverpool street, moorgate). Do you have any idea or tip for me? Can you just mention me the the of a couple of town situated very close to london and with a good train (or whatever mean of transport) with london-liverpool street? thanks in advance

    lol cheap? I live in Zone 3 - 15 mins by train into Liverpool Street and my 2 bed flat is £700 a month however local rents are now £800 for a 1 bed flat as our rent has not gone up and we have massive problems in the flat! Also, the problem with moving further out, is, that it only works IF the travel doesn't equal out. No point saving £200 on rent, when your travel goes up £200 a month! You haven't said what your budget is? So it's hard to say what areas.

Essex for Liverpool Street? Good luck, as still NOT cheap. Travel is dear too!

I lived in Uxbridge and Ruislip in north west London. They were nice and quiet and commuting to the city was easy on the Met Line

Greenwich, London is a good place to live and good transport links. Rent is cheap as well. A large double room for £350 PCM including bills.

You could live in: Hackney Shoreditch Dalston Those are the surrounding areas for liverpool street they all a bus & train ride away from London Liverpool Street Station

There are National Express trains into Liverpool street from Essex - you might want to try looking there
