How much would a trip to London cost?

  • So, i live here in the U.S. in Nevada.I'm 18 years old i have no job yet. But when i do get a job i want to save up and take a trip over to London. So, i was just wondering how many years do i have to save up in order to get a good amount of money for Lobdon? ...I know it's far away. How much money will i need? I know my parents can always pay for my airport ticket. I asked them and they agreed. So, i would Only have to pay for The trip In London. I need mature answers from a smart person who knows this stuff. Thank you.

    Take a trip down to your local bookshop and buy the "Travel Survival Guide to the UK". It comes out every year and will give you a good idea of what you could see and how much it will cost you. Youth Hostels are probably the cheapest way to go unless you have friends there, and you will get a good idea from it of how much to budget for. Travel passes give you huge discounts, all in the book. To save the cost of the book you may be able to get it from the local library. Current cost of a dorm. bed in the Central London YHA. is just under 30.00 pounds/per night. Buy meals from the supermarkets, get this, an entree, main meal, desert and a bottle of wine, 10.00 pounds, priced 1 week ago. Flights went on sale tonight for air fares to London from Christchurch N.Z. $579.00 x 0.82, about $475.00US. There are bargains to be had, though I do wonder if its a wing seat. HaHA GL>

well i live in London so I can give you a fair idea but it depends how long you;re thinking of staying and what you want to do here? Also bear in mind (Nick) that even a really cheap hotel (ie premier inn, travelodge) can cost £200 per night in central london even when booked 11 months in advance (i just checked).

well flights at least £400 average hostel (which will be pretty grim) £20 per night food is expensive most sights will charge eg tower of london is £40, london eye similarly expensive as is london dungeon bus and tube fares are also expensive and the only way to get around min £8 per day it all depends how much luxury you want but as someone who lives in london i would say on top of paaying for flights a min buget per day would be £100 but that is really scraping the barrel

If you go with a guide, a 2 week trip could cost about 2500-3000 dollars. not including the ticket food, transportation, etc.
