9. Click the Start import button.
Gmail will now connect to your News, Politics, Sports, Mail & Latest Headlines account and copy your mail and/or contacts. Once the process is complete, click to close the window.

Create a Gmail account, then once you have the account set up, you can go back to your AOL and select whichever mails you have and forward them to your newly created Gmail account.. I believe AOL being one of the oldest email service providers can easily be configured to automatically forward any inbox mails to another destinations..
