Well, there are lots of Pain points in students life but here I highlight only few which I feel can make a big impact on students life also it somehow fix our education system or I say education system should be like this.
- Proper Mentorship: Most of the time students are confused related to their careers. What to choose? What Course Should I pursue? And After 12th, They just choose Engineering even if they don’t want to become an engineer. (Not including those who wa

Like In India, most of the students choose science after school because they think there are 3 options Science, Commerce or Arts. And After 12th, They just choose Engineering even if they don’t want to become an engineer. (Not including those who want their career in engineering). So, Proper Mentorship is required by those who know the world very well.
- Self-Paced Course: Now this is something I feel missing in our education system. As I understand our education system, they try to teach you almost everything, so you know a little bit about everything and choose what you feel interesting. That’s one thing I appreciate. But they try to teach the subject in the given timeline and we all know that every student has a different speed of learning and grasping the concept. Few students learn so quickly and few students took time to grasp that knowledge. Here, our education system fails. So, a Self-Paced Course with one-to-one mentorship should be there in our education system. I thing, recorded sessions can help in solving this problem.
I have a few more points to describe but I don’t want to bore you more, so I just write these points:
- student-teacher one-to-one time to time interaction
- More practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge
- First make student’s interests and then Go for deep knowledge.
- Proper Practice
- Time to time exam but based on the student’s timeline.
These are my points if I miss something please add below. Thanks

Notes.
I really hate jotting em down, it'd be great help if I am allowed to concentrate freely during the lecture and then have a soft copy of the important points(wrt to that particular lecture) mailed to me.
I'll just go home, have a look at it once and viola! I'm ready for the exams!

Students in science courses sometimes want (and could benefit from) having a large number of practice problems to try while learning a new topic. Technology (online systems like LON-CAPA) can place a huge number of such problems, including instant feedback on the student's answers, in easy reach.

The following problems can be solved:
- Large distance education
- Lack of good quality teachers
- Lack of global concerns while teaching
- Need for high Teaacher-Student ratio
- Lack of practical awareness
Would add more if I remember any?
Illiteracy. By combining memory games and using game based learning I feel students might be more reachable, thus helping with learning to read better.
We have done a good job with research via internet
fair job with video for history and science
poor job for languages and tutorials for math and statistics
Agree with Quora User and Gopi Gandhi but for that we all need some feedback's from teachers about their requirements and issues. But in place like India, teachers are neither aware of technology nor they want to share their issues with other who want to solve their issues.
I totally agree we can enhance teaching quality with technology but which technology and for what need this is my question.
I'm ready to help in technology in education.

I have taught in a real F2F class and am now teaching in virtual classroom. One advantage of virtual classroom is that it is easy to share content from vast resources available on inetrnet. It enhances the quality of class. I think this is one issue which can be solved using technology.
The quality of teaching can be improved!
One problem my sixth graders face yet don’t overcome is somewhat easily solved with existing technology is what to do when they’re home sick and can’t come to class. Too often they show up the next day with zilch, and that shouldn’t happen, so they sit there like the did in elementary school - their desk is blank and they seem to think because they were absent, they aren’t responsible for anything. Students fail to take advantage of the tools I’ve created for them. Each day post the previous nigh’t homework into a class website for them to correct their own homework. They can do that from home.* Also posted is that current day’s PDF of what was taught. While it’s a bit tough for students this age to follow, at least it should give them an idea of what to do for that night’s homework.* Way too few students take advantage of these tools for them. All I ask of them is to come to class the next day with at least the problems written so they can then correct them in class when they do return.
*Clearly, if the student is really too sick to do any of this work then they should be excused from doing much or most or all of that work. But, some kids are not that ill, so they should be expected to do something to try and keep pace.
That is not a good question, as written. Replace the nouns to see if it makes sense:
“Does food help or harm people?”
“Do dogs help or harm people?”
“Do pencils help or harm students?”
It is too simplistic of a question to have a worthwhile answer. Technology is a tool. A tool can be beneficial or harmful depending on how it is used.

It is too simplistic of a question to have a worthwhile answer. Technology is a tool. A tool can be beneficial or harmful depending on how it is used.
First we have to start by defining what we mean by technology. Technology is simply the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. As a teacher, I base the choices I make in the classroom on science. I have studied how the brain learns and I teach in ways that best align with the learning process. That is technology. As a trained educator, I have access to that technology. It doesn’t need to involve any physical objects.
But I don’t think that was your intent. I think when you say technology in the classroom you want to know about the use of things like computers and portable devices in the classroom. That kind of technology in the classroom is not essential. There isn’t a subject in the curriculum that I can’t teach you using a simple blackboard (which hasn’t been considered technology since around the time James Pillan hung a piece of slate on his classroom wall in 1801). Through the use of my voice and visuals created on that chalkboard and activities that I have you perform with your own piece of slate or paper, I can teach you everything you need to know.
But that doesn’t meant there aren’t ways to use technology to enhance the learning experience. A good teacher understands the importance of variety and the importance of interaction. We need the students to be engaged in the learning process and making choices about what to click on on an electronic device is one way to do that.
In my classroom, we sometimes use an electronic system through which each student has a small device that’s like a remote control or “clicker”. It has buttons on it (e.g. yes/no, the letters A-E) and in the lessons we ask the students to use that device to respond to questions. That technology is incorporated into a PowerPoint presentation that the instructor uses and the student responses can guide the direction we travel, as a group. Technology makes those classes better.
I teach a class about the Saturn V rocket to new astronauts. We walk around the actual giant rocket and I carry an iPad on which I can show the students visuals that help convey the ideas I am discussing. Technology makes that class better.
Reflection and self-study is an important part of the learning process. Technology can be very helpful here. We can create activities that a student can complete on an electronic device to increase their skills and to assess their understanding. Those are good uses of technology.
But technology can also be a hindrance. It can be a distraction. When I teach in the classroom, there is a firm rule that laptops be closed and devices be off. If you open your laptop to look at an e-mail, the class comes to a screeching halt and I stare at you until you close that damn laptop. I have this policy because I know that multi-tasking is a myth. We don’t multi-task, we switch-task. If a student is switch-tasking, their ability to learn is greatly degraded, so I can’t allow it to happen.
Dependence on technology can be a problem. Projector bulbs fail. Internet goes down. Codecs fail to work. Software crashes. Budgets aren’t set aside for maintenance. Instructors have to put a lot of thought into whether the benefits of use of technology outweigh the risks for each specific scenario.
Outside of technology as used by the instructor is the larger arena of technology as part of life. As great as electronic devices can be, they also damage the brains of people. People who have grown up with ever present devices have rewired their brains such that they have shorter attention span and sometimes addictive craving for device provided stimulus. These people have become inferior people who are harder to educate. It is essential for parents to manage the use of devices such that the child gets enough use to be adept at using them (because that’s necessary for modern life) but also that they spend more time separated from the devices than with the devices such that they don’t develop a dependency.
So, there is no easy yes/no general answer to the question, as it has been asked.
It gives everyone the handwriting skills of a 44 year old doctor writing a prescription.
If all you ever do is use a keyboard, and you don’t develop handwriting skills, unless you are intentionally going out of your way to pursue calligraphy? Your handwriting skills probably suck.
So keyboards have more or less destroyed handwriting.
Calculators, even on cell phones, have destroyed the ability to do even basic math by hand, or in your head. Personally, I don’t count any basic math done outside your head as being a skill; knowing a process is not the same as knowing a subject.

Using Wikipedia, instead of a paper encyclopedia, has you missing out on a lot of what you would have learned otherwise.
Physics or chemistry demonstrations beat the holy heck out of computer simulation of the same. Seeing a pendulum on a screen, vs. seeing a bowling ball on the end of a cable, coming towards your face, are entirely different experiences.
Those are just obvious fails of technology in classrooms.

Lack of consistent discipline from teachers and staff creates false expectations for students. One of my students complained that is former English Language Arts teacher was a wonderful person who let the students do whatever they wanted to do unless it drew negative attention to the room. He’d post lookouts to keep watch for administrators or monitors so that the class had time to assemble and look busy if someone showed up.
Lack of consistent grading standards confuses students. That same student complained to his counselor that his former teacher knew how to grade him properly. As an example, he brought a paper he’d written to show her as evidence. The prompt was: “Describe the best day of your life.” The student has written: “The best day of my life was when…” He’d stopped writing there. The teacher had graded his paper as earning a B. He couldn’t understand that I was looking for complete sentences and whole paragraphs because it was too much trouble to write them.
Lack of parental involvement is a killer. Many students came to class saying that their parents don’t care about them and that school means nothing to them. At times when I contacted some of those parents, they were outraged to learn I’d been told that. It was difficult to know if the students truly believed what they were saying or it was a deflection intended to keep me from contacting the parents. However, parents who do not speak or understand the language of the school are often afraid to participate with staff members for fear of being regarded as lesser members of society. Lack of formal education can also mean they can’t help students with their assignments.
Family obligations outside of school may require students to work or take care of other siblings for so long that they have no time left for studying or doing homework, let alone having a social life.
Students who’ve been bullied or otherwise feel unsafe at school will have difficulty remaining focused on the work because they are too busy worrying about staying alive long enough to return home.
Fear of failure keeps students from attempting assignments that might cause them to look bad. Similarly, fear of being thought stupid keeps them from asking questions or requesting help.
Learning disabilities make some students feel isolated. They’re ashamed of their difficulties and imagine that they’re the only ones experiencing those conditions. Their shame keeps them from receiving help. For others, the shame the parents feel prevents them from allowing their children to be tested and helped.
False expectations about what the school environment is like or should be like hurts many students. Media portrayals of classrooms have very little to do with the reality of life in a classroom because real life is not as dramatic or comedic as the media portrays it to be. This causes students to come to class expecting distractions and power games against the teachers because teachers are not really trying to help them learn or are too incompetent to teach them anything.

Seasonal affective disorder is one difficulty among many that can occur. When the light becomes scarce and the day ends sooner everyday it hits a bit on the secretion of melatonin and the level of good moods.
School is full of people, many interactions can be beneficial but some people can push you down too. It’s important to know what you want. Is just getting the minimum to pass your objective?
Usually there should be many sport facilities so you can exercise which is super important coupled with intellectual activity.
I made the mistake to only concentrate on grades. Yes it is very important but not to the point of forgetting everything around me. It is possible to get good grades and go to a party once in a while.
There are 3 common problems that teachers see.
- Students seeking an excessive amount of attention. They yell out answers, raise their hands even if they don’t know the answer, make bad jokes that only a few find even a little bit funny, etc.
- Disruptive students. They get out of their seat to bother other students. Talk excessively which prevents the teacher from teaching. Throw paper at others. Gets out of their seat to write on the board.

If you are becoming a new teacher, you should plan ahead on how you are going to respond to each type. Review these with peers, other teachers, and especially the teachers at your college.

Our small school library is limited in the Non Fiction area. She was shocked and horrified that many of her students at 9+ had never been inside the Public Library that is a half a mile from the school.
She did a survey of all students 1st-6th. She found less than 1/3 used the Public Library.
On the one hand it is better for students to use technology and learn more information. With the help of technology they can learn everything faster. Teachers assign homework every day and it is easier to find the needed information quickly. If students had to search everything in books, it would take hours from them to find needed information. Thus, with the help of technology they can find the summarized version of information and learn it faster than usual. Now students can easily write essays by typing and take exams only using computer.
On the other hand new technology doesn’t help students to learn, in the opposite of that distracts them from learning. Now there are many social websites, which are used by every student. During studying students get distracted by getting messages or calls from social websites. Instead of looking for some information, they start to text with friends. Technology doesn’t allow students to concentrate. It also contains incorrect and impolite information in the internet, which won’t help students to study. In this case it is better to learn things from books. Another thing that technology doesn’t help students to learn is that it can cause health problems. Using technology all the time can harm vision and cause psychological problems. All students use internet, when they finish classes, but using it during classes will be too much. They also can easily plagiarize from the internet, which won't allow them to think on their own way.
In short, I think that with the help of technology students can actually learn more information and learn it more quickly. As I mentioned above in the internet students can find the summarized version of information, which allows them to learn quickly. It will be easier for them to do homework with the help of computer, such as translate new words and writing essays. Therefore, modern technology improves students' way of learning.
We should never neglect problems that children face in school just because they are common in the pre-teen and teenage years. - Missing breakfast is one of the major concerns of school students. Amidst the fear of missing those early morning sessions, students tend to skip their breakfast which is an important meal of the day. After overnight fasting, their growing bodies especially need good food to boost their energy level and alertness which they are not letting happen, so they need to say a strict ‘no-no’ to this particular habit before it starts adversely affecting their health.
- Most of the students burn the midnight oil trying to brush up on lengthy portions during exams. Poor and ineffective sleep that they run into, triggers their level of anxiety and stress very badly. In the end, the effort may even seem worthless when their mind ‘blackouts’ wouldn’t let them properly recall what they studied the previous night.
- At school, students are tempted to open Facebook or Twitter, or Instagram accounts. Social media not only distracts their concentration but they can play with students' fickle minds to any extent.
- Sometimes trendsetting learning apps could be a strong factor in making them overconfident. They might begin to think that bunking classes is no big deal, downloading one app can simply offset their loss where it can be a major blunder instead. The sooner they realize that following the interactive classroom sessions, taking notes, and being physically present during the class hours can fetch them better grades, the better it is. Physical connection with teachers and peers can help students acquire scholarships and recognitions to perform well even outside the school.
- It is possible that a child is being bullied in school. In such a case, it is best to approach and speak to the class teacher. In case the bully doesn’t stop, you must try and involve a head teacher and discuss the same with them. You may also note down and make certain suggestions that may be helpful for the school in the future.

Then they come over all surprised when given a task to do a calculation on the content of the lesson, or, horrors! KNOW something. Many can sit quietly, but are disconnecting from the learning process “because the teacher hasn’t made it interesting”, then they expect individual tuition during what remains of the lesson, trying to string out the tasks until there is no more time in which the teacher can expect them to do anything difficult.

- When to call home issues and when to allow my parents to visit. The old “stay away mom and dad issues” I will eventually need to deal with. Why are they bothering to see me issues and hassles. Just send money.

- Speaking of which, Boy was college fun. I miss those days and those fun issues. Why?
- Looking back, I now have probably even more issues than ever like a job, family friends and life But that is another issue.
- And yet, the best news of all is that I will save you from having to read about it. College has normal every day life issues always and that is the best part as your maturation to an an adult becomes complete. The best news of all is that as your friends get together 10 to 20 later, you will remember only the glory days (like this song) how much fun you had together and the memories shared and college always will be the best time of your life. Simply enjoy the great journey.

When I earned my Master’s in Education Technology we mostly talked about Technology / Pedagogy / Content. You are looking to make these work well together. Like in mathematics I would use Geogebra with Geometry moving constructions; it helped student understanding. And there are ideas like “flipping” instruction where students watch a lecture at home and then do the homework in class. Which we’ve been doing forever in English (read the book at home, discuss in school) but is easier to do now in mathematics.

The layers of reasoning here are like an onion. It starts because to take ownership of student-centered learning is to take ownership of what teachers call a growth mindset, which assumes that students will grapple, FAIL, and then learn to reflect and adapt based on analysis of that failure, which is both a painful process that this generation of students have often never encountered before, and which is not at all like culture outside of school, where instant gratification is easily available through devices, and reinforced through a lack of parental willingness to push past that and teach bo
The layers of reasoning here are like an onion. It starts because to take ownership of student-centered learning is to take ownership of what teachers call a growth mindset, which assumes that students will grapple, FAIL, and then learn to reflect and adapt based on analysis of that failure, which is both a painful process that this generation of students have often never encountered before, and which is not at all like culture outside of school, where instant gratification is easily available through devices, and reinforced through a lack of parental willingness to push past that and teach both boredom and failure as positive parts of growth, and also TRULY be resourced and supported by PARENTS to effectively ban or limit use of such devices, perhaps through such drastic measures as cell signal blockers in all schools (currently, by the way, my students do not put away their phones because their parents want to text them all day and refuse to send their kids to school in the first place if we threaten to disrupt this process).
But ultimately, it is because they can.
Students who resist learner-centered teaching are increasingly supported by both political pressures and parental beliefs, both of which hold the teacher - not the student - responsible for any lack of learning. New technologies which create immediate feedback loops between student output and parental notification support this - a student who wants to resist student-centered learning need only hold on to that thought until the first progress report (in our district, a five week window). The political demand for “transparency” and data -cycling in the learning process has created cycles SO short that they dishonor the fact that learner-centered teaching takes TIME, and will not always be successful in a particular window.
In short: why should students, who are by DEFINITION still not mature enough to be intrinsically motivated by delayed gratification of learning,. bother to learn to learn, when everything else in culture signals that the OPPOSITE is the path forward - both during the school day (phones and peer reinforcement, plus admin urging teachers to “make things more relevant and “catchy” and urging students to “just do the work”, as if an attempt were the same as learning), and after and outside of school (at home, and on the streets, where near norms reward talent, not grappling, and are keyed to disincentivize real struggle for myth-making on devices and short-term “gratify or turn it off to the next channel/game)? When parents of this generation believe that teachers, not students, are the ones who are supposed to be “doing the work” of school - and when their kids fail, see the teachers as blameworthy, and refuse to hold their own selves and children responsible for the work of learning?
This is beyond the question…but it is worth noting nonetheless: this resistance cannot be addressed INSIDE schools, because it assumes the school is already the loser here, and thus “we” in schools have NO leverage to convince students otherwise. We cannot FAIL students any more; when we do, because of how the political assumptions here are framed, admin must manage this as if we did not do the right due diligence for parents to do things that parents no longer do. If we want to fix this, then, we MUST stop asking schools to do it. These are EXTERNAL pressures, that students carry INTO schools, and can stand on while IN those schools. It’s time for culture to hold PARENTS and TAXPAYERS responsible for the fact that they send kids to school armed to resist, and with ammunition from those taxpayers and parents to DO SO. We must disarm those parents - and schools cannot do that, as they are on the other side of the battlefield.
I'm not a teacher, but there were several common issues with students in classrooms that I experienced myself.
- Some students just pick certain subjects they want to take, simply because their mate(s) are in that class.
- Some students just waste too much time socialising with their mates and definitely too much time on their phones. This causes them to do less work and often cause a lot of distress for teachers.
- Some students who just cause problems sometimes like to annoy, or distract the ones that are actually trying to do the work.

Using technology in the classroom helps to improve the engagement of students in the classroom. Technology, such as interactive whiteboards, games, and simulations, can engage students and make learning more interactive and fun. The more interactive and fun a classroom environment is, the more students will stay engaged with it.
- Access to information
Learning is all about gathering information and knowledge. Interactive classrooms encourage students to learn more and with the help of technology, students tend to have easier access to a lot of information. Technology provides students with instant access to a vast amount of information and resources, which can help to expand their knowledge and understanding.
- Personalized learning
Every student is different and thus requires different time to understand, learn and adapt to new things and information. Technology helps students to learn at their own pace and create a better understanding of the concepts. Technology can be used to deliver personalized learning experiences to students, allowing them to work at their own pace and focus on their areas of need.
- Assessment and feedback
Assessing the knowledge and timely feedback of students is really important for their growth and development. Technology can provide immediate and ongoing assessments and feedback, allowing students to track their progress and identify areas for improvement. With the identification of areas of improvement students and teachers can work together to improve them and help students grow.
- Collaboration
Technology has made collaborations easier, students can easily collaborate among themselves and work in groups even if they are not present physically. Collaborating with different students helps students develop multiple skills such as teamwork, leadership qualities, and many more.
- Productivity
Access to technology has helped in improving the productivity of students. Every tool they require to gather knowledge, analyze it, and many other things. Technology has helped teachers to manage their students' performance and work easily with the help of LMS. Teachers can easily manage their tasks, push due dates, and do other things.
- Future Ready
Technology is growing at a very fast pace and it is becoming a part of every profession, and everyone today should be able to use it and have technical skills to work on it and grow. Including technology in the classroom will make the students future ready.
Overall, including technology in the classroom has a very positive impact on the classroom environment as well as it is really helpful in improving the student's weak areas. Technology has the potential to build a great future for students and for this technology should be added to classrooms to help them improve, learn and grow.
Issue: Some students don’t clear their queries despite the teacher permitting them to ask questions.
Solution: The teacher can ask questions instead. Let me explain: Imagine a teacher gets over explaining about “refraction” to the kids, then she can ask them to ask questions. But if none does then the teacher can ask each student to briefly tell what they just learned. This way if the student can’t explain to the teacher then the teacher can assist them.
What are the least three major problems which students face in their studies? What are some ways which they can be tackled?
Three things I remember from college:
- The laptop that invariably is ready to have a dead battery, but you jump up to get the cord and while plugging it in, it goes dead. You were smart and saved, but lost the last two paragraphs or so. ☆ - manually save the work before jumping up to grab the charger, even auto saves may not grab those last couple paragraphs.
- Building study groups. I'm sure this is better now than when I attended, but getting people together then for studying

- Eating and sleeping properly/taking care of their health. I missed nights to studying and ended up occasionally missing the classes for which I was studying because I was flat exhausted. Stay healthy (I'm sure this has improved or at least more people are aware since Covid). ☆ - Pay attention to your body and what it needs. When you're exerting so much mental and physical energy on life, your body needs all the help it can get.
Nothing I say is fact and/or advice. This are just a few things I wish I would have had someone tell me ten years ago.

I’ve taught as both a full time teacher and as adjunct faculty in a community college over many years. The first pain point is a growing number of students who do not have college- level skills. They read poorly, they write even more poorly. What does a caring teacher do with that? How do I assign any reading if they can't read and do I stop teaching the history curriculum and turn it into a remedial reading and writing class ? I’ve taught as both a full time teacher and as adjunct faculty in a community college over many years. The first pain point is a growing number of students who do not have college- level skills. They read poorly, they write even more poorly. What does a caring teacher do with that? How do I assign any reading if they can't read and do I stop teaching the history curriculum and turn it into a remedial reading and writing class ? These students genuinely care and they genuinely cannot engage the class lacking the skills to do so. They come to class, they attend to class but unable to read and write how do they pass the class? That's a pain point - I'm in pain for those students and in pain because I don’t know what to do about it.
Then I'd say it's a growing host of students who enroll in college without any serious interest in their classes and who do little to disguise that. They don't show up for class, they disregard school policy in regard to attendance placing an instructor in an untenable position. They don't complete assigned work by deadlines and do very slipshod work at best - but yet expect a B in the class. They will invest their effort in long- winded explanations of rare and uncurable illnesses with which they've been burdened and stories of broken down cars making it impossible for them to get to campus - and because of this they should be given a B in the class. I should take that into full account they say - that they would do good work if they were able to get to class. I should give them a good grade because they have declared their good intentions. They think they are fair and open-minded in that they are asking for a B and not an A. That they will accept a B is - they say- sufficient downgrading - because they would have come to class and completed assignments if they had been able to. As they are a victim of circumstances, they should have the B - it's justice as they explain it to me. I am unjust if I don't give them a B.
The most pain though - it’s the students of whom those things are quite true. They have very challenged lives - single mothers with two children and two jobs and the real illness of a child makes it impossible for them to attend class. A demanding employer requires them to stay late at work and is uncaring that they are taking classes. An unexpected expense leaves them without bus money to get to school. They can't afford to repair their broken down car. They certainly cannot do assignments after working two jobs and parenting two children, they cannot prepare for tests. They have reasonable skills - they read well enough and could write well enough if they had time to do either. They are working two jobs to have money for tuition and they desperately want a B in the class because they are taking classes in the hope an education will let them break free of the endless struggles with which they contend.
Those are my three pain points but the third group of students cause the most pain of all.
- Bullying. Usually the kids that are different in some way are bullied (too mild, not athletics, handicapped, dresses differently, very smart, not smart).
- Cruel teachers. I have seen some teachers do terrible things to students.
- Very difficult subjects

And, even then, you have to take factors about the learners into account. Some things work for some that don’t work for others. There are likely age, gender, a socio-economic factors to explore.

It definitely depends. Technology can be such a wonderful thing, but it can also just be another reason to avoid work. If a student is interested about what they are learning, technology opens up a whole new world to them! They have access to everything about that topic at their fingertips, complied in such a way that even a book could not master.
If the student is bored with whatever they are learning, they will probably escape through social media, youtube, messaging systems, and online games. However, that is not all that different from avoiding reading a book or blocking out what a teacher

I do believe that technology offers a truly unique way to engage in classroom activities, but also do not believe the class should rely solely on technology. To appeal to all types of learners, and to absorb more information on the topic, a multi systematic education approach is necessary. You need to mix individual work on worksheets, partner labs, and group projects, class videos, student presentations, teacher lectures, visitors, music that reflects the material, visual sources, and hands on experience through doing an experiment that models the material, or even visiting somewhere to see the concept in action. Students learn different ways, and even those who do well online can easily get bored of the material and decide to cheat or write off the assignments. Mixing it up teaches to all students strengths and helps them to enjoy class (which makes it more likely that they will learn).
Technology in the classroom has no more affect on learning than good lighting, fresh air at the right temperature, desks and chairs that are the right size and other class room equipment.
It’s the teaching that makes the difference.
Teachers know the pace to move; what needs repeating; what needs drilling. Teachers recognise lucky guesses, copying others’ work and other cheating.
Technology can be a great enabler, but it is unable to get at the root of a child’s learning difficulties, or goose-up performance when a child is not exerting himself.
