Earning money online itself is a career. But if you want to be successful, patience and taking action are very important. Only dreaming about money and doing nothing is what most people do. Below I have listed the best websites for teens and college students to earn money online.
I have divided the answer into two parts. The first part is for those who can give enough time and effort. And the second part is for those who want to start making money as soon as possible.

I have divided the answer into two parts. The first part is for those who can give enough time and effort. And the second part is for those who want to start making money as soon as possible.
For those who can work hard
- Shopify: Ecommerce is undoubtedly the fastest-growing field on the Internet and has unlimited potential. Because traditional commerce is shifting to the Internet.
But don’t worry, there is a way to do eCommerce without even having a product of your own. You don’t need to take care of the delivery, and never have to touch the product yourself. This is known as Dropshipping.
Dropshipping is simple. It is all about being an intermediary between the supplier and the customer.
You find products from suppliers, and buy them at a lower wholesale price. Then you find customers who may purchase that product from you at a higher retail price.
Your profit is the margin between the selling price of the supplier and the purchase price of the customer. Shopify will help you just to do that.
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that will help you to create an online store so that you can list and sell your products there.
It takes a lot of work, but you will be proud of yourself when you make it.
- Upwork: Upwork is among the best money-earning sites that give you all the essential tools to earn money from home.
It is the place to showcase your skills and also make a good amount of money from them. Website development, creative writing, sales, marketing, the platform gives you space and opportunity to build a network to grow your technical skills like a true professional. Upwork is in the class of reliable websites to make money in the most consistent way possible.
At Upwork, what you earn is calculated based on what you earn from the contractor. Say, for the first $500 you bill to the client, You have to give a 20% commission to Upwork.
Then $10,000, Upwork will take a 10% commission. And if you have billed a client over $10,000, Upwork will take only 5% commission from you. Simply the more you earn the less percentage of commission you pay to Upwork.
To earn from this website you need to be good at something.
- Fiverr: Fiverr is a freelancing website. Here you can offer professional services–ranging from logo designs, social media posts, voiceovers, translations, and many more. For clients from various industries.
It is a really good way to earn money, starting from $5. Out of which $1 will be retained by Fiverr for using their platform.
Anyone with any skills can use this platform. You can easily earn up to $50 or more per hour.
First, find out what you are passionate about. Then create the profile and list the services that you’d like to offer. Wait for an order. Once the order is complete, you will be paid.
Just like Upwork, to earn money from this website, you need skills in some field. If you want to do well here, you have to beat the competition. Because there will be many people offering the same service as you.
The above websites are the best and most reliable for teens and college students. But it will take a lot of hard work and patience to earn money from them. But that is worth it.
For those who want an easier way to earn money online, and start as soon as possible. I suggest the following.
- Survey Sites: These websites pay you for your opinion. Actually, there are big companies who spend millions of dollars to know the opinion of their customers. This helps them to improve their products and service quality. There are many websites you can join like Survey Junkie, MyPoints. But some of you may find it boring, because you may not get a survey opportunity all the time.
- Paid to click websites: This method is very beginner-friendly. Some companies want a lot of visitors to their website. So you can visit their websites and watch advertisements and you get paid for that. As this method is very easy and requires less to no work, the demand is very high. Because of that, the payments are also comparatively less. But there are few websites which pay really high. I, myself earned my first online income(75$) from paid-to-click websites in 2015. You also can start your online earning journey from this method. I am giving a high-paying website link here you can check that if interested.
My advice is, Do not think too much and just start your journey.
Learn things faster. Just remember one thing, never waste time. Once you start making money online, one day you will realize that time is money. I wish you all very good luck. Please show some love, if you found this answer helpful.

Focus on Learning in this age rather than Earning

1. Cancel Your Car Insurance
You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.
If you tell them a bit about yourself and your vehicle, they’ll send you personalized quotes so you can compare them and find the best one for you.
Tired of overpaying for car insurance? It takes just five minutes to compare your options with Insurify and see how much you could save on car insurance.
2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven
A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.
If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.
On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.
3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10
Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.
An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.
With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.
Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.
So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.
This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.
4. Earn Up to $50 this Month By Answering Survey Questions About the News — It’s Anonymous
The news is a heated subject these days. It’s hard not to have an opinion on it.
Good news: A website called YouGov will pay you up to $50 or more this month just to answer survey questions about politics, the economy, and other hot news topics.
Plus, it’s totally anonymous, so no one will judge you for that hot take.
When you take a quick survey (some are less than three minutes), you’ll earn points you can exchange for up to $50 in cash or gift cards to places like Walmart and Amazon. Plus, Penny Hoarder readers will get an extra 500 points for registering and another 1,000 points after completing their first survey.
It takes just a few minutes to sign up and take your first survey, and you’ll receive your points immediately.
5. Get Up to $300 Just for Setting Up Direct Deposit With This Account
If you bank at a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, your money probably isn’t growing much (c’mon, 0.40% is basically nothing).
But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees. And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).
It’s quick and easy to open an account with SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC) and watch your money grow faster than ever.

5. Stop Paying Your Credit Card Company
If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape… but a website called AmONE wants to help.
If you owe your credit card companies $100,000 or less, AmONE will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.
The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmONE rates start at 6.40% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster.
It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for.

What if I told you that rather than using various websites online, you could create a profitable website yourself? Not only that, but it doesn't take long to build one whatsoever! From doing miscellaneous work online, filling out surveys, freelancing, and so on, it is a fact that the ways to earn money are close to unlimited. But did you know, starting a website can open up the gates to much more than only one way to make a profit?
Please stick with me for a bit longer, since there's a secret I'd like to share. Creating a website is not as tricky as it's portrayed to be! There are only three things that you will need, them being:
- A hosting provider to have your website online and available to others!
- A building platform to create a website or coding skills to build it yourself!
- A domain name so people can differentiate your website from others!
You might be wondering what those things that I've mentioned are. Should I talk more about a hosting provider? A building platform? A domain name? I hope you are saying yes because here I go (feel free to skip this part if you already know about it!):
A hosting provider allows you to publish your site online as it provides services of storing your website's data in their servers. Fairly enough, there are already multiple hosting providers that you could choose from, and all of them sound great! Not only that, but the variety of plans causes even more confusion! So, what exactly is it that you should be looking for in a hosting provider and a plan?
- For a freshly squeezed website, shared hosting plan is an option that is hard to resist. It covers the needs of your brand new website and the beginning of incoming traffic.
- A hosting provider offering 24/7 Support! From time to time, we can't figure something out, and we wish somebody was there for us, telling exactly what we should do, whether it's day or night.
- 99.9% Uptime! Did I ever hear someone wish for their website to be down? Can't remember... Can you think of someone?
- Cost-efficiency. We always want to receive what we pay for and are even happier if we receive more. Speaking of which, have you heard about Hostinger?
Don't know how to code? No problem, building platforms got your back. Want to create a gorgeous yet simple website? Free templates and themes are easily reachable to everyone! To put it simply, a building platform is a tool allowing you to build your website. By the way, not all of them have to be pricey, there are free options as well, offering both easy building and free yet beautiful templates such as Zyro.
Let’s not forget content management systems (CMS). While there are quite a lot of them, including Drupal, Joomla, Magento, and so on, one of the most popular ones is WordPress, as 35% of the internet is powered by it. If you do decide to use WordPress, then do check if your hosting provider is optimized for it, to improve the performance even more. If you desire to learn to code and build the website yourself, feel free to check out this tutorial.
A domain name is going to be the address of your website, so make sure it's not too difficult to read and memorize as it is often used for branding as well! More often than not, along with buying a certain hosting package, a domain such as .com can be included for free as well. Keep an eye on it!
Finally, we are finished with the theory! As I've mentioned, there's more than one way to earn money online, let's talk about them.
Affiliate marketing. What will you do? Quite simple! Promote the products of the company you chose! A website is a huge plus for affiliate marketing, as you can have your own source that you control. Putting affiliate links on your website or having them in your navigation menu brings more exposure to potential customers. It's a great and easy way to start earning money, as entering affiliate marketing is quick and easy. Not only that, but you can earn up to 60% of the commission, or perhaps even more, depending on the company that you choose. Make sure, though, to follow the rules of the company that you are promoting.
Blogging. Do you think somewhere deep within you, there's a writer just thriving to bloom? Writing and building a blog can be efficient not only for affiliate marketing but for building your network and advertising. Of course, you can also buy content for a blog, but that comes with extra costs, doesn't it? Adding affiliate links to your content, or even writing about the product you are an affiliate of can bring more customers. To add more, guest blogging (sharing your content on someone else's website) is an important part of blogging, and a great way to widen your network too!
Ads. As I've mentioned, blogging will bring you lots of opportunities, ads being one of them. Google AdSense is a simple yet very efficient and often-used tool to put advertisements on a website. Make sure you don't put too many of them, so it doesn't distract a user that much.
Starting an e-store. A great way to earn money is creating a store. Whether it's dropshipping, selling merchandise, or whatever you come up with! If you use WordPress to build a store, you will most likely hear about WooCommerce. It's built for WordPress, and it offers features such as managing orders, coupons, and so much more.
Freelancing. At some point in our life, we all had thoughts about how amazing it would be to wake up, grab your laptop, and work from bed. Apparently, now it’s one of the most popular ways to generate income. Crazy, right?! People with professions like graphic designers, web designers, and many others tend to have a place where they share their work. This way, a client can decide whether their work style is something they would like to see. Having a website is a great way to build such a portfolio and present your skills in a unique way.
Here are some of the most popular ways of earning money online with a website. I hope you had as much fun reading as I did while writing, and I do hope it was helpful. Now, what are you waiting for? You know you can do it!

It is always hard to start without having a good picture of what you do want to create. Today there are millions of helping tools and everyone is empowered to create a blog. The only question that is still hovering in the air is - how to start a successful blog?
So let’s go - here are some tips for those who are just starting and even for those who already have a blog:
- Choose your blog niche. It’s easy to start a blog if you already know what you want to talk about but even if you don’t have your own topic, don’t give up - there are numerous bloggers who started with one idea and ended up with the other one.
You are creating a company or have a product? Writing a blog about it could become a great marketing strategy that would drag more attention to your business.
- Have something for the start. A lot of people start a blog without even knowing what to write about, it’s not the end of the world but surely you can do better!
Before starting a blog, gather up some materials around you that can be used in the blog - photos, some thoughts written down. Having something for the start obligates you to create a blog and not procrastinate with only thought about having it. - Select an interesting domain name. Forget all the boring ones and find a name that stands out. There are some interesting TLDs for your domain, you don’t have to use .com, with imagination you can make even .online TLD attractive!
Also, these tips can help to select the best domain name for you:
Make the domain memorable - keep it short and simple, you can use domain checkers to help you find the one that fits you best!
Know your audience - domain target keywords are really important to your audience so make it relevant.
Less but better - avoid any hyphens, numbers or non-unicode characters in the domain name. It could be too difficult to remember or hard to understand.
Check for popular keywords - with the domain checker you can find domains with popular keywords. Also, it can help you find domains with the same name and variations, buying those can help you to protect your brand.
Protect your privacy - make sure that privacy protection is activated for your domain name. This will hide your private data from the WHOIS database.
Be fast to be first - hurry up as the domain you want can be bought within seconds!
- Analyze the blogs you like. It is so much easier to start with an example. I am not talking about copying others, just getting some inspiration and finding successful methods. Don’t forget to analyze which blogs are getting the most traffic - SimilarWeb can help you out with that. If a blog is getting a lot of traffic, research what could be the key factors of that.
You can even analyze the SEO strategy of other websites! Neil Patel allows you to do that through his own website. - Remember that SEO is important but Content is still the king. No one ever got traffic without doing anything BUT it doesn’t mean that expensive ads will give you what you want. The most important thing here is content and you need to make sure it’s rock-solid, though SEO is also playing a huge role in blogging.
- Set up social media platforms. Online presence is important and using social media can help you increase your user engagement. It’s the best tool to notify people about new articles and plans. Facebook and Instagram can help you grow and receive feedback from your readers directly. Also, you can implement the links from your blog post to Facebook and Instagram to gain more followers there and create a community for them.
As social media channels (and even effective ones) the personal profiles can be used too. A lot of bloggers have their blogs linked in the “About me” section of their Facebook and Instagram profiles. Self-promotion for friends and followers can increase traffic and popularity. - Create a top-notch design. Even when content is so important, you have to make sure that your visitors can easily read it and find it. The eye-catching design is a must to keep the readers in the blog for more than a few seconds. You can create a design yourself, or you can use existing templates - WordPress has a lot of them! If you have no idea about the latest trends, give a shot for a minimalistic look. It will make your blog look more professional and easy to navigate.
Congrats! Now your blog is ready to storm the internet. Be sure to keep it updated and it will stay on the successful path. Here Google Analytics and other platforms that help to track your blog growth or plan its future will come in handy. A goal without a plan is just a wish, so make it real and enjoy the journey!

There are so many competitions out there. For me in my teen years it was the Redwood Empire Mathematics Tournament hosted by HSU. I would suggest that you look for competitions hosted/sponsored by recognized corporations, professional societies, or universities.

Hi, I was looking for competitions like ISEF and Conrad challenge that have projects that are submitted and judged
There are many options if you hosting it as a public event, like Codechef and HackerEarth or Virtual Online Contests.
But if you are looking for full control over your event and/or you own a server, the best is to use an online judge. For example, we at IIT Jodhpur have been using Codejudge, which was made by us for the institute, for the last two years and it has performed very well! :)

The websites for knowing upcoming programming competitions or hackathons are hackerearth, hackerrank, codechef, geeksforgeeks.
