1. Cancel Your Car Insurance
You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.
If you tell them a bit about yourself and your vehicle, they’ll send you personalized quotes so you can compare them and find the best one for you.
Tired of overpaying for car insurance? It takes just five minutes to compare your options with Insurify and see how much you could save on car insurance.
2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven
A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.
If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.
On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.
3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10
Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.
An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.
With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.
Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.
So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.
This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.
4. Earn Up to $50 this Month By Answering Survey Questions About the News — It’s Anonymous
The news is a heated subject these days. It’s hard not to have an opinion on it.
Good news: A website called YouGov will pay you up to $50 or more this month just to answer survey questions about politics, the economy, and other hot news topics.
Plus, it’s totally anonymous, so no one will judge you for that hot take.
When you take a quick survey (some are less than three minutes), you’ll earn points you can exchange for up to $50 in cash or gift cards to places like Walmart and Amazon. Plus, Penny Hoarder readers will get an extra 500 points for registering and another 1,000 points after completing their first survey.
It takes just a few minutes to sign up and take your first survey, and you’ll receive your points immediately.
5. Get Up to $300 Just for Setting Up Direct Deposit With This Account
If you bank at a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, your money probably isn’t growing much (c’mon, 0.40% is basically nothing).
But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees. And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).
It’s quick and easy to open an account with SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC) and watch your money grow faster than ever.

If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape… but a website called AmONE wants to help.
If you owe your credit card companies $100,000 or less, AmONE will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.
The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmONE rates start at 6.40% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster.
It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for.

Turning off “Automatic System Updates" in developer options doesn't work anymore.
You should first try to go into the settings of your Samsung phone, and look for the software update settings and turn off any automatic software updates. This should work on a factory unlocked Samsung phone (the one with no carrier branding). However, keep in mind that carrier branded variants (like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are the ones actually responsible for downloading and installing the update… so even if you turned off automatic updates in the settings, it may or may not work. Some carriers don't even give you an option to turn off automatic updates. These cellphone carriers usually say in the fine print of their user agreement saying that they will install updates without your consent at anytime and you must agree to their terms of service during the setup screen or you can't use their phone.
Software updates are becoming mandatory and getting harder to stop. Smartphone companies and cellphone carriers are getting very GREEDY because people are keeping their smartphones for longer than usual nowadays, resulting in significant reduction in smartphone sales. So sometimes, the software update may cause issues on purpose in order to encourage new phone sales, but they do it in a low-key way so they can't get entirely blamed for it.
Some of the software updates are now coming through from the “Google Play Services" system app (this is ESPECIALLY TRUE with T-Mobile variant smartphones). Unfortunately, you still need the Google Play Services app so you can't simply just disable it (otherwise no Android app will work).
However, I suggest that you do the following to prevent the “Google” app and “Google Play Services" app from sneaking in a software update:
* Go to Settings > General > Apps and press the “3 Dots Menu Button" on the top right, and then select “Show System Apps".
* Look for and select “Google Play Services".
* Then DISABLE permissions for it to access “Storage” and “Phone”… and also DISABLE permission to “Modify System Settings".
* Additionally, do the same thing for the “Google" app. You can also just disable the Google app completely which I recommend (though like I said, you will still need Google Play Services… but the Google app can be disabled but you will not be able to use some Google features like Google Assistant or Google music search/identifier though you can always re-enable the Google app if needed).
* Go through the app list again and look for any pre-installed system app that says “software update”, “OTA updates” or “Android Setup” or anything else that says OTA or update on it (the software update is especially known to download through the “Android Setup" app). DISABLE permissions to those apps as well, and try to FULLY DISABLE THE APP ITSELF if you can. Disable ALL carrier preloaded apps also (like the “My AT&T" app) if possible, and disable all app permissions for it and restrict it from running in the background under the battery settings.
The software updates typically update between the hours of 12AM to 3AM (though not always the case). The software update usually does not auto update if the user has “Power Saving Mode" enabled and have less than 75% battery (some cellphone carriers like T-Mobile now will only require 50% battery to do a software update, they recently changed the requirement from 75%)… and the software update will automatically start when on WiFi (though recently, software updates have been downloading through mobile data, it can depend on the carrier). The software update also strangely sneaks in an update when you are using the Google Play Store and updating apps… especially when you are updating the “Google" app. I guess they assume if you are updating apps on the Play Store, then they think you are ready to install a software update. This has happened to me many times on my T-Mobile phone, the phone suddenly freezes, then it reboots and installs the software update without my permission or consent.
So remember to:
* DISABLE WiFi at night or when you aren't using it for long periods of time
* Keep Power Saver Mode ENABLED
* Keep the battery below 75% as much as possible (ideally, keep it below 50% as I've mentioned they changed the battery requirements for software updates… maybe only charge it to 49% at night).
* NOTE: If you turn off WiFi and mobile data, you will STILL receive incoming phonecalls and regular SMS text messages as those do not require internet and only uses the cellular network. So you can have your phone on standby at night incase of emergencies if someone calls you.
* Limit your usage of the Google Play Store, and turn off “Automatic App Updates" in the Play Store and just manually update apps periodically. Avoid updating the “Google” app if possible.
As mentioned, the software update also begins installing when you are updating the “Google” app. I highly suggest you avoid updating and using the Google app (I would just disable it). Last time, I updated the Google app on the Google Play Store and the phone automatically restarted and began installing a software update (I was very angry it did it without my consent). Also, avoid using the Google Play Store at night, it appears to try and install the software update when you use the Google Play Store, and especially if you are updating the Google app (I guess it assumes you are ready to install a software update during this time). Though without the Google app, you may not be able to use some Google features like Google Assistant or Google music search (though I feel like these things drain battery anyways, especial since it's running in the background 24/7, and Google is probably collecting a ton of user data as well… especially since Google sneakily enables Google Assistant voice command on standby by default which means the microphone is recording 24/7 waiting for you to say “Hey Google"… extremely creepy).
Now what if the software update is currently downloading?
* If you see a notification showing the software update downloading, first, immediately disable WiFi so the update stops downloading. Then, long press the software update download notification bar and then press the info button (the “i" icon), then it will take you to that app's info settings and you can force close this app which will stop the download. You can also delete the app cache and data so the downloaded update gets deleted. As mentioned, the software update is usually downloaded through th...

What, exactly, does “reset an app” mean? (I’ve only been doing this stuff for 47 years, so I don’t know.)
If you mean “make the app work as if it’s just been installed”, uninstall the app, restart the phone, install the app again.
AT&T (as well as the others in the US) often have special software settings and abilities for the carrier applied to the device until they are unlocked (even then they can still have some differences from international versions). You’re not going to “stop” them unless you unlock it and its bootloader and flash the system with an international or other ROM.
No it will still be Official. Just go to settings then scroll down to the bottom where it says about phone hit that now hit status information look at list see Device Status does it say official. It should.
If it’s a system App, the next time you reboot your Samsung phone? It will be reinstalled during the boot process.
This is part of their self-healing firmware on Samsung cell phones.
