The best ways to target display ads are to take a look at the media opportunities and to make sure that your ad has relevant and compelling copy.
On the media part of the equation, there are three kinds of media to consider: Targeted media, Targeted mass media and General mass media. Depending on the numbers and the costs (and your budget), start testing the various media that target your potential customer. At the same time, you can also test different copy.

This is called re-targeting. when you visit a website your browsing system will lay a cookie which details what you have done on that particular page, the companies then use either an ad agency (Google, Viant etc) or their own system to set up ads based on your recent searches. they will change according to what your looking at. For example the timescale they have to convince you to buy a pair of trainers will be perhaps 2 days so you will be served ads for 2 days for the trainers you was looking at, if you was looking at holidays or cars, the sales time would be a lot longer so you may be ser

The only way to get rid of this partially is to go incognito or private browsing, this will still serve you ads while your in the session but once the window is closed all cookies are wiped therefore when you start again, you’ll get fresh ads from what your looking at in the new session.
A helpful hint, if your comparing prices always do it in incognito mode, otherwise companies tend to inflate the prices if they can see you’ve looked at the same place more than once as they gamble that you’ll pay the difference anyway!
Happy Private Browsing!
I have lots of experience with behavioral targeted display ads.
Site-Based Retargeting - Probably the most bang for your buck, this targets your specific audience pools. With retargeting, you can serve ads solely to people who have visited your website, or even specific pages within your website. This ensures that you're serving ads to people who have had at least some prior engagement with your brand. Search Retargeting - This is similar to site-based retargeting, but it serves your ads to people based on their search history. Because this is based on a data pool, the data may be inaccurate, or the volume of data may be insufficient.
Social Advertising - Advertising on Facebook, and now Twitter (whether you want to consider Facebook and Twitter ads display ads is up to you), allows you to serve ads based on an audience's social interactions. For example, you can serve ads solely to people who have tweeted about Justin Bieber, or you can serve ads to people who are connected with people who already subscribe to Mr. Bieber. ReTargeter (see disclosure under Site-Based Retargeting) has some unique products that has integrated site-based retargeting with social advertising.
SEM - Using a platform like Adwords, you can serve ads on the DoubleClick display network based on what people search. This is different to search retargeting in that the ads are shown contextually, based on the site that the targeted UV is viewing.
I hope this helps!
At first do some market research see what your competitors are doing. see their creatives, websites, ad copies etc so you will have the data. you can use Facebook ads library to see your competitors ads.
Then you have to figure out what extra value you can provide to your customers than your competitors it could be anything like improve your product, creatives, landing page & your offer.
Then setup Facebook pixel, conversion Api and events for remarketing purposes.
Now do some research on your audience that whom most likely to buy your product, what are their behaviors, age, gender, Interests etc

You are talking about remarketing or retargeting. Retargeting works through ad networks like Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, etc. You install a piece of code on your website - all pages or, better, specific product or service pages - that can then be used by the ad network to identify someone who has visited your site.
Coding ads to each product or service or product/service family (product line, etc) allows you to specifically target the follow-up ads. The ad network can then display the retargeting ad when the person searches Google or Bing or displays a Facebook page.

Coding ads to each product or service or product/service family (product line, etc) allows you to specifically target the follow-up ads. The ad network can then display the retargeting ad when the person searches Google or Bing or displays a Facebook page.
That is, the code registers the visit to your site and assigns a unique code that the ad network can use to track the visitor’s movements. Basically these ads then remind the person about your product(s) or service(s), increasing the likelihood that they will buy from you.
As an example, let’s say you are bank. You add tracking code - sometimes called a “pixel” - to loan pages within the website. When the person later searches for “loans” using Google (or whatever ad network) your retargeting ad will display.
But, other sites part of that ad network can also display the ad based on dimensions and the keyword(s) associated with the page. These sites can be broad based or specific to a topic. The latter is better.
So, if you visit a page about how to calculate interest - that is, an interest calculator - that page could also display your loan ad.
Banner advertising offers broad visibility, cost-effectiveness, and the ability to target specific audiences. It also allows for quick design updates and can drive traffic with compelling visuals and clear calls to action.

Why are you making ads???
Advertising is a way to reach targeted customers to accelerate success.
It is used to put the right offer in fron of the right people.
You offer usually something valuable to sell.

Manish is correct--native Facebook ads are not cookie or code based, they are based on your self-reported profile information. However, with the introduction of the Facebook Exchange (disclaimer: I work at ReTargeter, a partner on the Facebook Exchange), cookies are now involved in the Facebook ad ecosystem. Instead of tagging users with the cookies on Facebook, however, users are tagged on other websites, and are then served retargeted ads while they're on Facebook.
Banner ads, also known as display ads, are digital advertisements that use images or multimedia to attract the viewer's attention. The primary goal of banner ads is to create brand awareness and attract potential customers to the advertiser's website. The primary goal of banner ads is to create brand awareness and attract potential customers to the advertiser's website. A successful banner ad is eye-catching, visually appealing, and concise, using minimal text to convey its message.
The Key points for creating effective banner ads:
- Make Your Ads Stand Out: Use complementary color schemes and crisp borders to make your banner ads distinguishable from the website's background.
- Create Well-Designed Buttons: Buttons are the most important element of a banner ad. Use contrasting colors and effective combinations to make them impossible to miss. Also, consider designing banners that look like videos with a play button to increase click-through rates.
- Get the Text Right: Use less text on banner ads and differentiate between the headline and body using different text sizes. Avoid unclear, curly, script, or extremely thin fonts. Use a font palette consistent with your brand, and make sure the logo is legible.
- Use Color to Convey the Message: Color is one of the most critical factors in designing a banner ad. Use colors that communicate the right message for your brand. Don't ignore brand guidelines, and make sure the ads look consistent with the page that the user is directed to.
- Keep It Simple: Determine your aim, communication, and call-to-action, and stick to them. Use striking designs that leave a lasting impression, but keep everything simple to avoid confusion.
- Make Your Ad Interactive: Interactive or animated ads perform better than static ads, as long as they don't deviate from the message. Create simple transitions that don't last more than 10-15 seconds and loop not more than 3 times.
- Choose Appropriate Imagery: Use imagery sparingly and only when needed. Ensure that the images used are relevant to the ad and maximize the impact of the message.
You need to install your Facebook pixel in your website and then go into Facebook and set up a retargeting ad. The pixel “fires” whenever someone comes to your website and then those people see your ads on Facebook. If you also use Adroll you can use their pixel too and show your ads to a lot more people. For help with installing the pixels just search it on YouTube. It’s pretty easy.
Banner ads should be relatively simple in their messaging, persuasive with imagery, and feature clear, easy-to-click calls to action.
- Use the most effective, standard banner sizes.
- Place your banner ads correctly.
- Keep it simple.
- Use buttons appropriately.
- Have a clearly defined frame.
- Make your text instantly readable.
- Use animation.
What you're describing is called "retargeting," or "remarketing." You can do this through several platforms, depending on your budget, and whether you want to manage it yourself or not.
Here's how it works...there are two parts to it:
1. Collecting the users that you're going to "chase"
Whatever network you sign up with to serve your ads through (Google Adwords, AdRoll, etc) will provide a pixel that you place on your website.
People who visit your website get "tagged" (also called cookie'd) by this pixel. Over the course of a few days or weeks, you'll develop what's commonly referred to as a "coo

Whatever network you sign up with to serve your ads through (Google Adwords, AdRoll, etc) will provide a pixel that you place on your website.
People who visit your website get "tagged" (also called cookie'd) by this pixel. Over the course of a few days or weeks, you'll develop what's commonly referred to as a "cookie pool."
2. Serving your ads to the cookie'd users
This is part of the media buy portion - paid for as a CPC or CPM rate, depending on the network you're using. As those "tagged" users go to web properties where ad inventory is available through your platform, they will see your ad. (This is drastically simplified, but you get the idea.)
So for example, a user comes to your site and leaves. You have set up your buy to include Facebook retargeting...so when they go to Facebook, assuming you're paying a competitive rate, etc., they will see your ad. Same goes for other web properties.
You can get pretty complex with this strategy. For example, you can specify that you only want users who visited a particular URL on your site to see your ads, not just everyone. You can also exclude audiences...so, for example, if you're an e-commerce retailer, you can retarget but NOT to people who completed a purchase. You can also strategize the creative based on which URLs they visited on your site, etc.
Hope that helps
You can retarget customers or prospects that visited your website on dozens of different ad platforms. Every big ad platform (facebook/youtube/native) offers simple retargeting options, all you have to do is to place their tracking script (called pixel) into your website and then spend a little bit of money with them to reach out to your past customers/prospects
To boost click-throughs for your display ad campaigns, you need to clearly identify your target audience and create ads that speak to it. That means you’ll need to drag out your best analytics data to target your audience based on topic, context and demographics.
According to a survey display ads are most effective when serving three specific purposes: ... Remember, the average CTR for display ads is 0.06%. As with all marketing channels, it's worth testing. But it's important to look at the data. It's a form of online advertising through banners. Banner advertising is also called display advertising (as opposed to text-only advertising) because of the visual nature of banner ads. The purpose of banner advertising is to promote a brand.
If you’re hoping to boost your online traffic with banner ads, you may be asking yourself: how can I create web banner ad design that people will want to click on?
Web banner design focuses on the systematic creation of effective banner ads through the careful application of basic design guidelines. Here are some tips:
- Use the most effective, standard banner sizes
- Place your banner ads correctly
- Maintain hierarchy
- Etc

I once met a man who drove a modest Toyota Corolla, wore beat-up sneakers, and looked like he’d lived the same way for decades. But what really caught my attention was when he casually mentioned he was retired at 45 with more money than he could ever spend. I couldn’t help but ask, “How did you do it?”
He smiled and said, “The secret to saving money is knowing where to look for the waste—and car insurance is one of the easiest places to start.”
He then walked me through a few strategies that I’d never thought of before. Here’s what I learned:
1. Make insurance companies fight for your business
Most people just stick with the same insurer year after year, but that’s what the companies are counting on. This guy used tools like Coverage.com to compare rates every time his policy came up for renewal. It only took him a few minutes, and he said he’d saved hundreds each year by letting insurers compete for his business.
Click here to try Coverage.com and see how much you could save today.
2. Take advantage of safe driver programs
He mentioned that some companies reward good drivers with significant discounts. By signing up for a program that tracked his driving habits for just a month, he qualified for a lower rate. “It’s like a test where you already know the answers,” he joked.
You can find a list of insurance companies offering safe driver discounts here and start saving on your next policy.
3. Bundle your policies
He bundled his auto insurance with his home insurance and saved big. “Most companies will give you a discount if you combine your policies with them. It’s easy money,” he explained. If you haven’t bundled yet, ask your insurer what discounts they offer—or look for new ones that do.
4. Drop coverage you don’t need
He also emphasized reassessing coverage every year. If your car isn’t worth much anymore, it might be time to drop collision or comprehensive coverage. “You shouldn’t be paying more to insure the car than it’s worth,” he said.
5. Look for hidden fees or overpriced add-ons
One of his final tips was to avoid extras like roadside assistance, which can often be purchased elsewhere for less. “It’s those little fees you don’t think about that add up,” he warned.
The Secret? Stop Overpaying
The real “secret” isn’t about cutting corners—it’s about being proactive. Car insurance companies are counting on you to stay complacent, but with tools like Coverage.com and a little effort, you can make sure you’re only paying for what you need—and saving hundreds in the process.
If you’re ready to start saving, take a moment to:
- Compare rates now on Coverage.com
- Check if you qualify for safe driver discounts
- Reevaluate your coverage today
Saving money on auto insurance doesn’t have to be complicated—you just have to know where to look. If you'd like to support my work, feel free to use the links in this post—they help me continue creating valuable content.

1) Checkout the landing page, where the visitors are landing. Does your landing page has enough 'call to action' trigger? Are you thinking of a 'Sale' every time visitors land on your landing page? Only 'Buy Now' message isn't enough. Incentivise them with 'discount vouchers', ask them to enroll into a premier club taking down their mail ids. Mail contacts generated through campaigns is the best cost effective way for remarketing.
2) If everything mentioned in the above point is okay, then think of Google remarketing. Setup Google remarketing, keeping goal conversions in mind.

Certainly Online banner ads effectiveness can vary. Some say they're less effective due to ad blindness and ad blockers. Others believe well-designed, targeted ads still work. It depends on factors like design and targeting.

If you are referring to 'onsite' behavioural targeting of banners, as opposed to offsite, where you might buy ads from a network that follow people around the web reminding you of previous products you have looked at, then my advice is to first write down who your target audiences are and then think about what attributes they exhibit that taken together might allow you to target them better when they do visit the site.
For example if a user has previously responded to a certain email or paid search advert you could use this to trigger a followup message that the user sees on the site when they

For example if a user has previously responded to a certain email or paid search advert you could use this to trigger a followup message that the user sees on the site when they visit on the first and subsequent visits.
A small example that comes to mind is a floor tile retailer who sold largely to wither the building trade or to architects. By knowing which was which quicker they were able to test and serve messages on design and aesthetics over the more physical properties of the tiles that builders would focus on. This simple strategy significantly helped improve response, because they thought about who their target audience were and then worked out a way to better present themselves to each. In the end and after some on-the-fly testing they found using the more brightly coloured highly stylised adverts were incredibly efffective 'onsite' to cater to their arcitect audience and the physical properties, ease of installation were likewise a hit with the builders. The example is small but the same applies to every website who may have a number of key customer segments, who might be at a different stage in their buying process, and whom if you met them on the shop floor would use slightly different sales messages. This is really what behavioiural targeting is all about, tailoring your conversation with the customer.
One of the simplest and often successful behavioural targeting implementations is simply serving a different sales message on the homepage every time a user visits the site and bringing onto the landing page any relevant advert based on either their previous browsing history or their geo location from which they are coming from.
If you want to try something out i recommend you take a look at our self service Cognesia.com Engage product that can get you up and running almost immediately and then test and target messages and content on the fly. Its a very liberating experience.

Basically, it’s a platform that pays you for testing apps and games and completing surveys. This helps developers improve their applications while you make some money.
- You can earn by downloading apps, testing games, or completing surveys. I love playing games, so that’s where most of my earnings came from (oh, and my favorites were Warpath, Wild Fish, and Domino Dreams).
- There’s a variety of offers (usually, the higher-paying ones take more time).
- Some games can pay up to $1,000 for completing a task, but these typically require more hours to finish.
- On average, you can easily earn $30–50/day.
- You pick your options — you’re free to choose whatever apps, games, and surveys you like.
Of course, it’s not like you can spend 5 minutes a day and become a millionaire. But you can build a stable income in reasonable time, especially if you turn it into a daily habit.
Why did I like Freecash?
- It’s easy. I mean it. You don’t have to do anything complicated. All you need is to follow the task and have some free time to spend on it. For some reason, I especially enjoyed the game Domino Dreams. My initial goal was to complete chapter 10 to get my first $30, but I couldn’t stop playing and ended up completing chapter 15. It was lots of fun and also free money: $400 from that game alone.
- No experience needed. Even if you’ve never done any ‘testing’ before, you can do this. You get straightforward task descriptions, so it’s impossible to go wrong. A task you might expect is something like: Download this game and complete all challenges in 14 days.
- You can do it from anywhere. I was earning money while taking the bus, chilling on the couch, and during my breaks.
- Fast cashing out. I had my earnings in my PayPal account in less than 1 day. I’m not sure how long it takes for other withdrawal methods (crypto, gift cards, etc.), but it should be fast as well.
- You can earn a lot if you’re consistent. I’ve literally seen users in the Leaderboard making $3,000 in just one month. Of course, to get there, you need time, but making a couple of hundred dollars is really easy and relatively fast for anyone.
Don’t miss these PRO tips to earn more:
I feel like most users don’t know about these additional ways to make more money with Freecash:
- Free promo codes: You can follow Freecash on social media to get weekly promo codes for free coins, which you can later exchange for money.
- Daily rewards and bonuses: If you use the platform daily, you’ll get additional bonuses that help you earn more.
- In-app purchases to speed up processes: While playing, you can buy items to help speed up task completion. It’s optional, but it really saved me time, and I earned 4x more than I spent.
- Choose the highest-paying offers: Check New Offers and Featured Offers to get the best opportunities that pay the most.
Honestly, I still can’t believe I was able to earn this much so easily. And I’ve actually enjoyed the whole process. So, if you’re looking for some truly legit ways to earn money online, Freecash is a very good option.
